New therapeutic perspectives in the treatment of anal fissure

Resumo: This is a systematic review of the literature in order to present scientific evidence about the best therapy for anal fissure. Retrospective and analytical study carried out from 1989 to 2020, in the Bireme, Pubmed and Scielo databases. The association of the descriptors “anal fissure” was used; "Aloe"; “Clinical treatment”; "vitamin A"; “Coloproctology”. Of the 238 articles analyzed, 38 were included in the review for meeting the inclusion criteria. Among the results, it was shown that conventional treatments, despite being effective (the gold standard being internal lateral sphincterectomy), have relevant side effects, thus, it is concluded that further research will be necessary to prove the effectiveness of new treatment options.

Estudio retrospectivo y analítico realizado desde 1989 hasta 2020, en bases de datos Bireme, Pubmed y Scielo. Se utilizó la asociación de los descriptores “fisura anal”; "Áloe"; "Tratamiento clínico"; "vitamina A"; “Coloproctología”. De los 238 artículos analizados, 38 se incluyeron en la revisión por cumplir con los criterios de inclusión. Entre los resultados, se evidenció que los tratamientos convencionales, a pesar de ser efectivos (el estándar de oro es la esfinterectomía lateral interna), tienen efectos secundarios relevantes, por lo que se concluye que serán necesarias más investigaciones para comprobar la efectividad de las nuevas opciones de tratamiento.Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática de literatura com o objetivo de apresentar evidências científicas acerca da melhor terapêutica para fissura anal. Estudo retrospectivo e analítico realizado no período de 1989 a 2020, nas bases de dados Bireme, Pubmed e Scielo. Utilizou-se a associação dos descritores “fissura anal”; “Aloe”; “tratamento clínico”; “vitamina A”; “coloproctologia”. Dos 238 artigos analisados, 38 foram incluídos na revisão por atender aos critérios de inclusão.
