The role of nursing in entrepreneurship in Brazil

Resumo: The aim of this study was to understand the role of nurses in the area, in addition to what types, fields and/or sectors can be undertaken. This is an integrative review of the literature, with the purpose of analyzing the performance of nurses in entrepreneurship sought through databases: LILACS/BDENF, MEDLINE and SCIELO. The inclusion criteria used were: articles published between 2012-2022, in Portuguese and English, available in full, and according to the guide question. Manuals, books, dissertations, theses, monographs, review articles of any kind, editorials and duplicate articles were excluded. The 10 articles show that there are several niches for business nursing, besides that the motivations were surrounded by financial stability, growth in the market, leadership and independence about welfare. Nursing, although consolidated as a profession, needs to seek new fields of activity, not only associated with traditional health hospitals. The Federal Nursing Council (COFEN) encourages these work alternatives aimed at entrepreneurship in the area.

Se trata de una revisión integradora de la literatura, con el propósito de analizar el desempeño de las enfermeras en el emprendimiento buscado a través de bases de datos: LILACS/BDENF, MEDLINE y SCIELO. Los criterios de inclusión utilizados fueron: artículos publicados entre 2012-2022, en portugués e inglés, disponibles en su totalidad, y de acuerdo con la pregunta guía. Se excluyeron manuales, libros, disertaciones, tesis, monografías, artículos de revisión de cualquier tipo, editoriales y artículos duplicados. Los 10 artículos muestran que hay varios nichos para la enfermería empresarial, además de que las motivaciones estaban rodeadas de estabilidad financiera, crecimiento en el mercado, liderazgo e independencia sobre el bienestar. La enfermería, aunque consolidada como profesión, necesita buscar nuevos campos de actividad, no solo asociados a los hospitales de salud tradicionales. El Consejo Federal de Enfermería (COFEN) fomenta estas alternativas de trabajo orientadas al emprendimiento en la zona.O objetivo do estudo foi compreender a atuação do enfermeiro na área, além de que tipos, campos e/ou setores podem-se empreender. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com a finalidade de fazer uma análise da atuação dos enfermeiros no empreendedorismo buscado através de bases de dados: LILACS/BDENF, MEDLINE e SCIELO. Os critérios de inclusão utilizados foram: artigos publicados entre 2012-2022, nos idiomas português e inglês, disponíveis na íntegra, e de acordo com a questão norteadora. Foram excluídos manuais, livros, dissertações, teses, monografias, artigos de revisão de qualquer tipo, editoriais e artigos duplicados. Os 10 artigos evidenciam que existem diversos nichos para atuação de enfermagem empresarial, além de que as motivações se cercaram em estabilidade financeira, crescimento no mercado, liderança e independência acerca do assistencialismo. A enfermagem, apesar de consolidada como profissão, precisa buscar novos campos de atuação, não apenas associados aos tradicionais hospitais de saúde.
