Physical Education and Biodiversity: a brief bibliographic

Resumo: | Biodiversity is not exclusive to the fields of biology and ecology. It is used in several areas, by various social actors, such as politicians, scientists, researchers, activists, economists and teachers. In the educational environment, working with biodiversity is part of Environmental Education. With the publication of the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC) the transversal themes were expanded as Transversal Contemporary Themes, making biodiversity used by various components, including Physical Education. That said, the objective of this review was to know how biodiversity is being addressed within the area of Physical Education, from publications that are indexed in the Google Scholar search database. Therefore, a bibliographic review study on Physical Education and Biodiversity was carried out, using the keywords (or descriptors) “Physical Education and Biodiversity”, “Physical Education and the Environment”, and “Physical Education and Environmental Education”. The work between Physical Education and Biodiversity still seems difficult for the teachers of this component, either because of their basic training or their restricted view of nature. However, it is an opportunity to address the issue of the environment in the classroom. Contact with nature through adventure sports is a great pedagogical tool for teaching Environmental Education. It is expected that more studies about the relationship between Physical Education and Biodiversity will be developed. |

Ela é utilizada em várias áreas, por vários atores sociais, como políticos, cientistas, pesquisadores, militantes, economistas e professores. No meio educacional, trabalhar com biodiversidade faz parte da Educação Ambiental. Com a publicação da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) os temas transversais foram ampliados como Temas Contemporâneos Transversais, fazendo com que biodiversidade fosse utilizada por variados componentes, entre eles a Educação Física. Isto posto, o objetivo desta revisão foi saber como a biodiversidade está sendo abordada dentro da área da Educação Física, a partir de publicações que estejam indexadas na base de dado de pesquisa Google Acadêmico. Para tanto, foi realizado um estudo de revisão bibliográfica sobre Educação Física e Biodiversidade, utilizando as palavras-chave (ou descritores) “Educação Física e Biodiversidade”, “Educação Física e Meio Ambiente”, e “Educação Física e Educação Ambiental”. O trabalho entre a Educação Física e Biodiversidade parece ainda difícil para os professores desse componente, seja pela sua formação base ou por sua visão restrita sobre a natureza. Entretanto ela é uma oportunidade de abordar a temática de meio ambiente em sala de aula. O contato com a natureza através dos esportes de aventura é uma ótima ferramenta pedagógica para o ensino de uma Educação Ambiental. Espera-se que mais estudos acerca da relação entre Educação Física e Biodiversidade sejam desenvolvidos.La biodiversidad no es exclusiva de los campos de la biología y la ecología. Por ello, se realizó un estudio de revisión bibliográfica sobre Educación Física y Biodiversidad, utilizando las palabras clave (o descriptores) “Educación Física y Biodiversidad”, “Educación Física y Medio Ambiente”, y “Educación Física y Educación Ambiental”. El trabajo entre Educación Física y Biodiversidad aún parece difícil para los docentes de este componente, ya sea por su formación básica o por su visión restringida de la naturaleza. Sin embargo, es una oportunidad para abordar el tema del medio ambiente en el aula. El contacto con la naturaleza a través de los deportes de aventura es una gran herramienta pedagógica para la enseñanza de la Educación Ambiental.
