Resumo: | This article presents a technical analysis of the inefficiency of the microdrainage system in São Luís Street, located in the center of the city of Açailândia, state of Maranhão. The research aims to identify and understand the main problems related to microdrainage in this specific area, bounded by Rio Grande do Norte and Bonaire Streets. Using data collection methods such as field observations, deficiencies in the drainage system were identified, resulting in flooding and inconvenience to the local population. The main causes of inefficiency include the inadequate sizing of drainage structures, lack of proper maintenance, and the accumulation of trash on public roads. Based on the results obtained, corrective measures are proposed to mitigate the problems identified, such as redesigning the drainage system, implementing regular maintenance practices, and making the population aware of the importance of preserving the microdrainage system. It is believed that the implementation of these measures will contribute to improve drainage conditions and reduce the negative impacts caused by inefficient microdrainage on São Luís Street and the surrounding areas. |

La investigación tiene como objetivo identificar y comprender los principales problemas relacionados con el microdrenaje en esta área específica, delimitada por las calles Rio Grande do Norte y Bonaire. Utilizando métodos de recogida de datos, como las observaciones de campo, se identificaron deficiencias en el sistema de drenaje, que provocan inundaciones y molestias a la población local. Las principales causas de la ineficacia son el dimensionamiento inadecuado de las estructuras de drenaje, la falta de mantenimiento adecuado y la acumulación de basura en la vía pública. A partir de los resultados obtenidos, se proponen medidas correctoras para mitigar los problemas identificados, como el rediseño del sistema de drenaje, la implantación de prácticas de mantenimiento regular y la concienciación de la población sobre la importancia de preservar el sistema de microdrenaje. Se cree que la implementación de estas medidas contribuirá a mejorar las condiciones de drenaje y a reducir los impactos negativos causados por la ineficiencia del microdrenaje en la calle São Luís y zonas aledañas.Este artigo apresenta uma análise técnica da ineficiência do sistema de microdrenagem na Rua São Luís, localizada no centro do município de Açailândia, estado do Maranhão. A pesquisa tem como finalidade identificar e compreender os principais problemas relacionados à microdrenagem nessa área específica, delimitada pelas Ruas Rio Grande do Norte e Bonaire. Utilizando métodos de coleta de dados, como observações de campo, foram identificadas deficiências no sistema de drenagem, na qual resultam em alagamentos e transtornos para a comunidade local. As principais causas da ineficiência incluem o dimensionamento inadequado das estruturas de drenagem, a ausência de manutenção adequada e o acúmulo de lixo nas vias públicas. Com base nos resultados obtidos, são propostas medidas corretivas para amenizar os problemas identificados, como o redesenho do sistema de escoamento, a implementação de práticas de manutenção regular e a conscientização da população sobre a importância da preservação do sistema de microescoamento.
