Resumo: | In the semiarid region, the use of saline water for irrigation in the production of forage for livestock is an alternative that can contribute to food security. The work aims to evaluate the effect of irrigation with saline water and the use of goat manure on mycorrhizal symbiosis and soil carbon contents in a semiarid area cultivated with cactus forage. The effects of water depths (0, 370, 520 and 700 mm), associated with four doses of goat manure (0, 15, 30 and 45 t ha-1), on the carbon content in the soil, were evaluated. in microbial biomass, basal respiration, the number of spores of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in the soil and root colonization by AMF. The amount of saline water added in different samples did not affect the evaluated parameters. Fertilization with goat manure increased soil C content and microbial respiration, but reduced palm root colonization by AMF. |

El trabajo tiene como objetivo evaluar el efecto del riego con agua salina y el uso de estiércol de cabra sobre la simbiosis micorrízica y el contenido de carbono del suelo en una zona semiárida cultivada con forrajes de cactus. Se evaluaron los efectos de las profundidades del agua (0, 370, 520 y 700 mm), asociados con cuatro dosis de estiércol de cabra (0, 15, 30 y 45 t ha-1), sobre el carbono del suelo, contenido de carbono. En biomasa microbiana, respiración basal, número de esporas de hongos micorrízicos arbusculares (HMA) en el suelo y colonización de raíces por HMA. La cantidad de agua salina agregada en diferentes muestras no afectó los parámetros evaluados. La fertilización con estiércol de cabra aumentó el contenido de C del suelo y la respiración microbiana, pero redujo la colonización de las raíces de palma por HMA.No semiárido, o uso de águas salinas para irrigação na produção de forragem para os rebanhos é uma alternativa que pode contribuir para a segurança alimentar. O trabalho visa avaliar o efeito da irrigação com água salina e do uso de esterco caprino sobre a simbiose micorrízica e os teores de carbono do solo em área de semiárido cultivada com palma forrageira. Avaliou-se os efeitos de lâminas de água (0, 370, 520 e 700 mm), associadas a quatro doses de esterco caprino (0, 15, 30 e 45 t ha-1), sobre o teor de carbono no solo, carbono na biomassa microbiana, a respiração basal, o número de esporos de fungos micorrízicos arbusculares (FMA) no solo e a colonização das raízes por FMA. A quantidade de água salina adicionada em diferentes não afetou os parâmetros avaliados.
