Resumo: | Beetroot is highly rich in important chemicals and stands out for its high concentration of B vitamins and various nutrients. In its chemical substances, beet has a high concentration of inorganic nitrate (NO₃), a substance used as an ergogenic supplement when related to therapeutic treatments, being a multifunctional physiological signal, essential for health and vascular function. Our body, when subjected to a stimulus, tends to leave its homeostatic state, and the chemical component present in beets, nitrate, will be responsible for activating an effective vasodilation, due to the conversion of nitrate into nitric oxide. The objective of the present study will be to analyze in scientific articles, which relate the effect of supplementation with beetroot juice as a pre-workout, in improving the performance of physical exercise practitioners, and the effects of using beetroot juice as a supplementation strategy for cardiorespiratory resistance, as well as to understand other possible benefits allied to its use with regard to the vasodilator effect, providing greater oxygen supply to the muscle, muscle fatigue. |

En sus sustancias químicas, la remolacha tiene una alta concentración de nitrato inorgánico (NO₃), sustancia utilizada como suplemento ergogénico cuando se relaciona con tratamientos terapéuticos, siendo una señal fisiológica multifuncional, esencial para la salud y la función vascular. Nuestro organismo, cuando se somete a un estímulo, tiende a salir de su estado homeostático, y el componente químico presente en la remolacha, el nitrato, será el encargado de activar una vasodilatación eficaz, debido a la conversión del nitrato en óxido nítrico. El objetivo del presente estudio será analizar en artículos científicos, que relacionen el efecto de la suplementación con jugo de remolacha como pre-entrenamiento, en la mejora del rendimiento de los practicantes de ejercicio físico, y los efectos del uso del jugo de remolacha como estrategia de suplementación para resistencia cardiorrespiratoria, así como comprender otros posibles beneficios aliados a su uso en cuanto al efecto vasodilatador, proporcionando mayor aporte de oxígeno al músculo, fatiga muscular.A beterraba é altamente rica em substâncias químicas importantes e se destaca pela alta concentração de vitaminas do complexo B e diversos nutrientes. Em suas substâncias químicas a beterraba apresenta alta concentração de nitrato inorgânico (NO₃), uma substância utilizada como suplementação ergogênica quando relacionada a tratamentos terapêuticos, sendo um sinalizador fisiológico multifuncional, essencial para a função da saúde e vascular. Nosso corpo quando submetido a um estímulo tende a sair do seu estado homeostático, e o componente químico presente na beterraba, o nitrato, será o responsável por ativar um efetivar vasodilatação, devido a conversão do nitrato em óxido nítrico.
