Inclusive education in the municipality of Sento Sé/BA: an analysis from multiple perspectives

Resumo: Inclusive education worldwide is not recent if we look at its genesis from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the 1940s, however, in Brazil, only in 2015 the Brazilian Law of Inclusion was consolidated. This study is based on four guiding questions and aimed to identify which inclusive education policies are developed in the municipality, investigating what are the guidelines that support these policies, aiming to understand how the specialized educational care has been performed and the main challenges encountered. This is a qualitative-quantitative research, with exploratory, bibliographic, and field character. The findings indicate that there are inclusive education policies in the municipality, however, it is essential to invest even more in continuing education for teachers and specialized materials for the proper care of students with disabilities.

Este estudio se basa en cuatro preguntas orientadoras y tiene como objetivo identificar cuáles son las políticas de educación inclusiva que se desarrollan en el municipio, investigando cuáles son las directrices que sustentan estas políticas, con el objetivo de comprender cómo se ha realizado la atención educativa especializada y los principales desafíos encontrados. Se trata de una investigación cuali-cuantitativa, con carácter exploratorio, bibliográfico y de campo. Los resultados indican que existen políticas de educación inclusiva en el municipio, sin embargo, es imprescindible invertir aún más en la formación continua de los profesores y en materiales especializados para la correcta atención de los alumnos con discapacidad.A educação inclusiva em nível mundial não é recente se olharmos para sua gênese a partir da Declaração Universal dos Direitos Humanos na década de 1940, contudo, em nível de Brasil, somente em 2015 se consolidou a Lei Brasileira de Inclusão. Tal estudo tem como base quatro questões norteadoras e objetivou identificar quais políticas educacionais inclusivas são desenvolvidas no município, investigando quais são as diretrizes que sustentam essas políticas, visando compreender como tem sido realizado o atendimento educacional especializado e os principais desafios encontrados. Trata-se de uma pesquisa com natureza quali-quantitativa, com caráter exploratório, bibliográfico e de campo.
