Development of an educational game about cervical cancer and its forms of prevention

Resumo: | The present study aims to develop an educational game about cervical cancer and its forms of prevention. This is a methodological research guided by the referential of Pasquali (2010) composed by the theoretical, empirical (experimental) and analytical poles; in the theoretical pole, an integrative literature review was carried out; in the empirical (experimental) the dynamics and content of the educational tool was structured; in the analytical pole, the instrument was validated by specialists and by descriptive statistics. The game was titled “Unraveling Cervical Cancer”, consisting of 32 cards, 16 have affirmative sentences and 16 images corresponding to each affirmative. No specialist evaluated the items with “disagree”, giving a content validation index of 1.0, being, therefore, successfully validated. The items that were evaluated as “partially agree” were reformulated according to the experts' suggestions. An educational tool was built and validated that proved to be adequate and viable for the guidance of women about cervical cancer and its forms of prevention. |

Se trata de una investigación metodológica guiada por el referencial de Pasquali (2010) compuesta por los polos teórico, empírico (experimental) y analítico; en el polo teórico se realizó una revisión integrativa de la literatura; en el empírico (experimental) se estructuró la dinámica y contenido de la herramienta educativa; en el polo analítico, el instrumento fue validado por especialistas y por estadística descriptiva. El juego se tituló “Unraveling Cervical Cancer” y consta de 32 cartas, 16 tienen oraciones afirmativas y 16 imágenes correspondientes a cada afirmativa. Ningún especialista evaluó los ítems con “en desacuerdo”, dando un índice de validación de contenido de 1,0, siendo, por tanto, validados con éxito. Los ítems que fueron evaluados como “parcialmente de acuerdo” fueron reformulados de acuerdo a las sugerencias de los expertos. Se construyó y validó una herramienta educativa que demostró ser adecuada y viable para la orientación de las mujeres sobre el cáncer cervicouterino y sus formas de prevención.O presente estudo tem como objetivo desenvolver um jogo educativo sobre o câncer de colo uterino e suas formas de prevenção. Trata-se de uma pesquisa metodológica orientada pelo referencial de Pasquali (2010) composta pelos polos teórico, empírico (experimental) e analítico; no polo teórico foi realizado revisão integrativa da literatura; no empírico (experimental) foi estruturado a dinâmica e conteúdo da ferramenta educativa; no polo analítico o instrumento foi validado por especialistas e, pela estatística descritiva. O jogo foi intitulado “Desvendando o Câncer de Colo Uterino”, constituído por 32 cartas, 16 apresentam frases afirmativas e 16 imagens correspondentes a cada afirmativa. Nenhum especialista, avaliou os itens com “discordo”, conferindo um índice de validação de conteúdo de 1,0, sendo, portanto, validado com êxito. Os itens que tiveram avaliação de “concordo parcialmente” foram reformulados de acordo com as sugestões dos especialistas.
