Nursing care for the patient using an artificial pacemaker: an integrative literature review

Resumo: | Objective: To survey the scientific knowledge regarding nursing care actions in patients using an artificial pacemaker. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review with a qualitative approach by thematic analysis technique. Results and discussions: a final sample of six articles was obtained through the search strategies in the databases and through the thematic analysis technique, the most addressed categories were perioperative nursing care (pre-, trans- and postoperative) and the nurse as a health educator. Final considerations: nursing care was predominantly based on perioperative care, where theoretical and practical knowledge was highlighted, in addition to the use of nursing care systematization, through the nursing process, as a tool to plan interventions. Another aspect to be considered was the role of nurses as health educators, where it is evident the importance of this professional in the context of assistance in pacemaker implantation. |

Resultados y discusiones: se obtuvo una muestra final de seis artículos a través de las estrategias de búsqueda en las bases de datos y mediante la técnica de análisis temático, las categorías más abordadas fueron los cuidados de enfermería perioperatorios (pre, trans y postoperatorios) y el enfermero como educador en salud. Consideraciones finales: el cuidado de enfermería se basó predominantemente en el cuidado perioperatorio, donde se destacó el conocimiento teórico-práctico, además de la utilización de la sistematización del cuidado de enfermería, a través del proceso de enfermería, como herramienta para planificar intervenciones. Otro aspecto a ser considerado fue el papel del enfermero como educador en salud, donde se evidencia la importancia de ese profesional en el contexto de la asistencia en la implantación de marcapasos.Objetivo: levantar os conhecimentos científicos referentes às ações da assistência de enfermagem em pacientes com uso de marca-passo artificial. Metodologia: trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura com uma abordagem qualitativa por técnica de análise de temática. Resultados e discussões: obteve-se uma amostragem final de seis artigos por meio das estratégias de busca nas bases de dados e através da técnica de análise de temática, as categorias mais abordadas foram à assistência de enfermagem perioperatória (pré, trans e pós-operatório) e o enfermeiro como educador em saúde. Considerações finais: a assistência de enfermagem se baseou predominante no cuidado perioperatório, onde teve destaque o conhecimento teórico-prático, além do uso da sistematização da assistência de enfermagem, por meio do processo de enfermagem, como ferramenta para planejar suas intervenções.
