Acupuncture as a tool to combat female infertility in healthcare: A literature review

Resumo: | Introduction: There is a prevalence of female infertility worldwide due to several factors, which may include marital status, education, unfavorable lifestyle, increase in reproductive diseases, artificial abortion, age, prolonged use of contraceptives and increased environmental pollution, but acupuncture has proven to be effective, making it possible to apply to the population regardless of social class. Objective: to describe the effectiveness of Acupuncture in tackling Female Infertility as a tool in individualized care for the female population. Method: This is a literature review, which searched for online studies carried out from February 2023 to April 2023 in electronic databases in virtual libraries. Discussion: Studies have shown that acupuncture has the necessary effect and is an instrument that can be used to combat female infertility, in which points can be used on the meridians of the kidneys, heart, liver, among others. Considerations: Acupuncture has contributed to the treatment of female infertility, presenting positive effects, therefore, one patient will never receive exactly the same treatment as another. |

Objetivo: describir la efectividad de la Acupuntura en el abordaje de la Infertilidad Femenina como herramienta de atención individualizada a la población femenina. Método: Se trata de una revisión de la literatura, que buscó estudios en línea realizados desde febrero de 2023 hasta abril de 2023 en bases de datos electrónicas en bibliotecas virtuales. Discusión: Los estudios han demostrado que la acupuntura tiene el efecto necesario y es un instrumento que se puede utilizar para combatir la infertilidad femenina, en el cual se pueden utilizar puntos sobre los meridianos de los riñones, corazón, hígado, entre otros. Consideraciones: La acupuntura ha contribuido al tratamiento de la infertilidad femenina, presentando efectos positivos, por lo tanto, nunca un paciente recibirá exactamente el mismo tratamiento que otro.Introdução: No mundo há a existência da prevalência de infertilidade feminina devido a vários fatores, que pode-se incluir o estado civil, escolaridade, estilo de vida desfavorável, aumento de doenças reprodutivas, aborto artificial, idade, uso prolongado de contraceptivos e aumento da poluição ambiental, mas a acupuntura tem-se mostrado eficaz, sendo possível a aplicabilidade para a população independente da camada social. Objetivo: descrever a eficácia da Acupuntura no enfretamento da Infertilidade Feminina como ferramenta no atendimento individualizado à população feminina. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura, que teve a busca dos estudos online realizada no período de fevereiro de 2023 a abril de 2023 em bancos de dados eletrônicos nas bibliotecas virtuais. Discussão: Os estudos evidenciaram, que a acupuntura surte o efeito necessário e é um instrumento que pode ser utilizado no enfrentamento da infertilidade feminina, em que pode-se utilizar os pontos nos meridianos dos rins, coração, fígado, dentre outros.
