Epidemiological profile of patients with Hepatitis C in the specialized component of Piauí pharmaceutical assistance

Resumo: | This study aimed to characterize the epidemiological profile of patients with hepatitis C assisted by the specialized component of Pharmaceutical Care in Teresina, Piauí, in 2018. This is a cross-sectional, observational study with a qualitative and quantitative approach, developed in Brazil. Specialized Component of Pharmaceutical Assistance in Teresina, Piauí, in 2019. The data collected refer to a sample of 100 processes. After the analysis, the information was recorded in the forms, and later in a spreadsheet, where the analysis procedure was performed through statistics. In this group, the average age was 57.9 years, with a higher prevalence of the age group. from 50 to 68 years old (63%), male (57%), mixed race (57%) and individuals with type 1 genotype (40.40%). The most commonly used regimen is Daclastavir + Sofosbuvir (40%) and the most common treatment line was 12 weeks (83%). The vast majority (93%) do not have any coinfection, but the most frequent coinfection in the sample is caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Most of the results found are in accordance with the literature. There are few studies about Hepatitis C in Brazil, considering this situation, it is considered important to know the prevalence of Hepatitis C, to raise awareness of the transmission pathways, as well as its symptoms, since it is a silent infection and can progress to chronicity, and on the effectiveness of the existing treatment, which is offered by the Unified Health System. |

Este es un estudio transversal, observacional con un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, desarrollado en Brasil. Componente especializado de asistencia farmacéutica en Teresina, Piauí, en 2019. Los datos recopilados se refieren a una muestra de 100 procesos. Después del análisis, la información se registró en los formularios y luego en una hoja de cálculo, donde el procedimiento de análisis se realizó mediante estadísticas. En este grupo, la edad promedio fue de 57.9 años, con una mayor prevalencia del grupo de edad de 50 a 68 años (63%), hombres (57%), raza mixta (57%) e individuos que tenían el genotipo tipo 1 (40,40%). El régimen más utilizado es Daclastavir + Sofosbuvir (40%) y la línea de tratamiento más común fue de 12 semanas (83%). La gran mayoría (93%) no tiene ninguna coinfección, pero la coinfección más frecuente en la muestra es causada por el Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Humana (VIH). La mayoría de los resultados encontrados están de acuerdo con la literatura. Existen pocos estudios sobre la hepatitis C en Brasil, considerando esta situación, se considera importante conocer la prevalencia de la hepatitis C, para aumentar la conciencia de las vías de transmisión, así como sus síntomas, ya que es una infección silenciosa y puede progresar a cronicidad y sobre la efectividad del tratamiento existente, que ofrece el Sistema Único de Salud.Esse estudo teve como objetivo caracterizar o perfil epidemiológico de pacientes acometidos com Hepatite C assistidos pelo componente especializado da assistência Farmacêutica em Teresina, Piauí, no ano de 2018. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, observacional, com abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, desenvolvida no Componente Especializado da Assistência Farmacêutica em Teresina, Piauí, no ano de 2019. Os dados coletados são referentes a uma amostra de 100 processos. Após a análise, as informações foram registradas nos formulários, e posteriormente em uma planilha eletrônica, onde realizou-se o procedimento de análise através da estatística.Nesse grupo, a média de idade foi de 57,9 anos, com maior prevalência da faixa etária de 50 a 68 anos (63%), do sexo masculino (57%), da raça parda (57%) e de indivíduos que possuíam o genótipo tipo 1 (40,40%). O esquema terapêutico mais utilizado é o composto por Daclastavir + Sofosbuvir (40%) e a linha de tratamento mais encontrada foi a de 12 semanas (83%). A grande maioria (93%) não possui nenhuma coinfecção, mas a coinfecção mais frequente na amostra é causada pelo Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana (HIV). A maioria dos resultados encontrados está de acordo com o descrito na literatura.
