Investigation of the risks associated with the prolonged use of hormonal contraceptives in women residents of the Metropolitan Region of Belém - PA

Resumo: Introduction: Genetic and environmental diseases such as thrombogenic mutations, thrombophilia in pregnancy, venous thromboembolism, migraine with aura, nausea, headache, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, breast cancer, aneurysm and glaucoma can be caused by the prolonged use of contraceptives. Objective: To analyze the risks associated with the prolonged use of contraceptives and adverse reactions in women living in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, PA. Methodology: A descriptive qualitative and quantitative study was developed, carried out through an online epidemiological questionnaire, with open and closed questions, to carry out the pharmacoepidemiological profile of the users prepared in Google Forms and disseminated on social networks. Results: 234 questionnaires, in which 19 were excluded, a total of 215 questionnaires answered by users of hormonal contraceptives, with the analysis of profiles, characteristics, guidance on the use of methods and adverse reactions: weight gain, appearance of pimples, swollen breasts and soreness, headache and nausea, mood swings and menstrual flow, leg pain and swelling, and migraine with aura. Conclusion: There was a presence of risks linked to genetic and environmental factors and adverse reactions associated with the prolonged use of hormonal contraceptives, making it evident the need for medical guidance and hormonal tests before adherence and choice of hormonal contraceptive method, being essential for effectiveness control of pregnancy and health of users of hormonal contraceptives in the RMB.

Objetivo: Analizar los riesgos asociados al uso prolongado de anticonceptivos y reacciones adversas en mujeres residentes en la Región Metropolitana de Belém, PA. Metodología: Se desarrolló un estudio descriptivo cualitativo y cuantitativo, realizado a través de un cuestionario epidemiológico online, con preguntas abiertas y cerradas, para realizar el perfil farmacoepidemiológico de los usuarios elaborado en Google Forms y difundido en redes sociales. Resultados: 234 cuestionarios, en los que se excluyeron 19, un total de 215 cuestionarios respondidos por usuarias de anticonceptivos hormonales, con el análisis de perfiles, características, orientación sobre el uso de métodos y reacciones adversas: aumento de peso, aparición de granos, hinchazón de mamas y dolor, dolor de cabeza y náuseas, cambios de humor y flujo menstrual, dolor e hinchazón de piernas y migraña con aura. Conclusión: Existieron riesgos ligados a factores genéticos y ambientales y reacciones adversas asociadas al uso prolongado de anticonceptivos hormonales, evidenciando la necesidad de orientación médica y pruebas hormonales antes de la adherencia y elección del método anticonceptivo hormonal, siendo fundamental para su efectividad. control del embarazo y salud de usuarias de anticonceptivos hormonales en la Región Metropolitana de Belém.Introdução: Doenças genéticas e ambientais como: mutação trombogênicos, trombofilia na gestação, tromboembolismo venoso, enxaqueca com aura, náuseas, cefaleias, diabetes, hipertensão, obesidade, câncer de mama, aneurisma e glaucoma podem ser ocasionadas pelo uso prolongado de contraceptivos. Objetivo: Analisar os riscos associados com o uso prolongado de contraceptivos e as reações adversas em mulheres residentes na Região Metropolitana de Belém, PA. Metodologia: Foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa descritiva de estudo qualitativo e quantitativo, realizada através de questionário epidemiológico on-line, com perguntas abertas e fechadas, para a realização do perfil farmacoepidemiológico das usuárias elaborado no Google Forms e divulgado nas redes sociais. Resultados: 234 questionários, nos quais 19 excluídos, total de 215 questionários respondidos pelas usuárias de contraceptivos hormonais, sendo realizada a análise dos perfis, características, orientação ao uso dos métodos e reações adversas: aumento de peso, surgimento de espinhas, seios inchados e doloridos, dor de cabeça e náuseas, alteração de humor e fluxo menstrual, dores e inchaço nas pernas e enxaqueca com aura.
