Resumo: | In a pandemic scenario due to the emergence of a new virus, a notable expectation has been generated around the performance of healthcare professionals as one of the essential pillars in the fight against COVID-19. However, the mental health of these professionals, who practice their profession under high levels of pressure and stress has been damage. To analyze the impact on mental health of healthcare professionals who work on the front line in the fight against COVID-19. It is characterized by a cross-sectional study of quali-quantitative approach, which aimed to analyze the mental health of 100 individuals who were active in the health service of the city of Lages - SC, applying a questionnaire prepared by the authors themselves. It was evident that 86% (n = 86) of the interviewees had already had previous contact with a patient suspected or confirmed with COVID-19 in the work environment and more than half of the professionals had feelings like anxiety, nervousness, tension and difficulty to relax outside the professional field. It has been shown that healthcare workers, especially those in contact with patients infected or suspected by COVID-19 had an impact on mental health during the pandemic. Therefore, it is necessary to develop new studies to identify in more detail the psychological overload on these professionals, in addition to fostering strategies aimed at promoting their mental health. |

Sin embargo, su salud mental, en la que ejercen su profesión bajo altos niveles de presión y estrés, se ve afectada. Analizar el impacto en la salud mental de los profesionales de la salud que trabajan en primera línea en la lucha contra el COVID-19. Se caracteriza por un estudio transversal con enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, en el cual tuvo como objetivo analizar la salud mental de 100 personas que se encontraban laborando en el servicio de salud del municipio de Lages - SC, mediante un cuestionario elaborado por los autores. ellos mismos. Se evidenció que el 86% (n = 86) de los entrevistados ya había tenido contacto previo con un paciente sospechoso o confirmado por COVID-19 en el ámbito laboral, con más de la mitad de los profesionales sumando sentimientos como ansiedad, nerviosismo, tensión. y dificultad para relajarse fuera del ámbito profesional. Se ha demostrado que los profesionales de la salud, especialmente aquellos en contacto con pacientes infectados o sospechosos de COVID-19, tienen un impacto en la salud mental durante la pandemia. Así, se enfatiza que es necesario desarrollar nuevos estudios para identificar con más detalle la sobrecarga psicológica de estos profesionales, además de promover estrategias encaminadas a promover su salud mental.Em um cenário pandêmico devido ao surgimento de um novo vírus, gerou-se uma notável expectativa em torno da atuação dos profissionais da área da saúde como um dos pilares essenciais no combate ao COVID-19. No entanto, a saúde mental dos mesmos, na qual exercem a profissão sob altos níveis de pressão e estresse, apresenta-se prejudicada. Analisa-se o impacto na saúde mental dos profissionais da área da saúde que atuam na linha de frente no combate contra a COVID-19. Caracteriza-se por um estudo transversal de abordagem quali-quantitativa, no qual visou analisar a saúde mental de 100 indivíduos que se encontravam atuantes no serviço de saúde do município de Lages – SC, sendo aplicado um questionário elaborado pelas próprias autoras. Evidenciou-se que 86% (n=86) dos entrevistados já tiveram contato prévio com algum paciente suspeito ou confirmado por COVID-19 no ambiente de trabalho, sendo que mais da metade dos profissionais somam sentimentos como ansiedade, nervosismo, tensão e dificuldade para relaxar fora do campo profissional. Demonstrou-se que os profissionais da área da saúde, especialmente aqueles em contato com pacientes infectados ou suspeitos por COVID-19, apresentaram um impacto sobre a saúde mental durante a pandemia.
