The importance of instrument traceability by the nursing team of the Surgical Center of a Hospital Universitário Federal do Rio de Janeiro/Brazil

Resumo: Traceability of instruments brings security to professionals and clientele, whose care reveals to be part of the patient safety protocol, which is revealed as important by the nursing team. Objective: to analyze the importance of instrument traceability by the nursing team of the Surgical Center of a Hospital Universitário Federal do Rio de Janeiro/Brasil at the Centro Cirúrgico. Methodology: Field research, carried out at a Hospital Universitário Federal do Rio de Janeiro/Brasil at the Centro Cirúrgico, which was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Augusto Motta University Center, by CAAE 57253322.4.0000.5235 and the opinion number: 5,321,829, in which 52 nursing professionals answered a questionnaire on Google Forms. Result: Participants correctly answered the online form, which evidenced the important traceability for validation of the instrument, to be used in surgical procedures. Discussion: When analyzing the answers to the authors, it is clear that the traceability of the material, despite being important, requires an institutional investment and training for the entire team, being a medium and long-term process, but after implementation, it offers protection for the staff and clientele. Conclusion: The research evidences the result of the traceability of the sterilization process by the nursing professionals of the Surgical Center, for the use of instruments to minimize the risks in the clientele in the surgical procedure.

Objetivo: analizar la importancia de la trazabilidad de los instrumentos por parte del equipo de enfermería del Centro Quirúrgico de un Hospital Universitario Federal de Río de Janeiro/Brasil. Metodología: Investigación de campo, realizada en un Hospital Universitario Federal de Rio de Janeiro/Brasil en el Centro Quirúrgico, que fue aprobada por el Comité de Ética en Investigación del Centro Universitario Augusto Motta, por el CAAE 57253322.4.0000.5235 y el dictamen número: 5.321.829, en el que 52 profesionales de enfermería respondieron un cuestionario en Google Forms. Resultado: Los participantes respondieron correctamente el formulario en línea, lo que evidenció la importante trazabilidad para la validación del instrumento, para ser utilizado en procedimientos quirúrgicos. Discusión: Al analizar las respuestas a los autores, es claro que la trazabilidad del material, a pesar de ser importante, requiere de una inversión institucional y capacitación de todo el equipo, siendo un proceso de mediano y largo plazo, pero luego de la implementación ofrece Protección para el personal y la clientela. Conclusión: La investigación evidencia el resultado de la trazabilidad del proceso de esterilización por parte de los profesionales de enfermería del Centro Quirúrgico, para el uso de instrumentos para minimizar los riesgos en la clientela en el procedimiento quirúrgico.A rastreabilidade do instrumental, traz segurança para os profissionais e clientela, cujo o cuidado revela fazer parte do protocolo segurança do paciente, o que é revelada como importante pela equipe de enfermagem. Objetivo: analisar a importância da rastreabilidade do instrumental pela equipe de enfermagem do Centro Cirúrgico de um Hospital Universitário Federal do Rio de Janeiro/Brasil. Metodologia: Pesquisa de campo, realizada em um Hospital Universitário Federal do Rio de Janeiro/Brasil no Centro Cirúrgico, que para isso, foi aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa do Centro Universitário Augusto Motta, pelo CAAE 57253322.4.0000.5235 e o número de parecer: 5.321.829, em que contou com 52 profissionais de enfermagem, que responderam um questionário no Google Forms. Resultado: Os participantes responderam com propriedade o formulário online, o que evidenciou a rastreabilidade importante para validação do instrumental, para ser utilizado nos procedimentos cirúrgicos. Discussão: Ao analisar as respostas frente aos autores, percebe-se que a rastreabilidade do material apesar de ser importante, requer um investimento institucional e treinamento para toda equipe, sendo um processo de médio e longo prazo, mas após a implantação, oferta proteção para a equipe e clientela.
