Duval Raymond theory in teaching mathematical functions

Resumo: The teaching of mathematics requires from the teacher methods that reach all students and make them an active subject in learning, it is up to the teacher to find ways to facilitate the process of acquiring knowledge. Based on this, the objective is to seek to disseminate the Theory of Semiotic Representation Records developed by the Frenchman Raymond Duval and present his contributions to the teaching of functions. This research is of a qualitative nature and is configured as a bibliographic survey where the studies of Raymond Duval were used. The two main research topics are: the theory of semiotic representation records, where Duval's career, his contribution to the Mathematics Teaching Research Institute - IREM and his theory are discussed. The second topic, teaching function according to Duval's theory, presents the use of his theory in teaching function and the types of approach to this content. Thus, the global interpretation of figurative properties approach is the most efficient and allows to increase the student's potential.

Thus, the global interpretation of figurative properties approach is the most efficient and allows to increase the student's potential.La enseñanza de las matemáticas requiere del docente métodos que lleguen a todos los estudiantes y los conviertan en un sujeto activo en el aprendizaje, le corresponde al docente buscar formas de facilitar el proceso de adquisición de conocimientos. En base a esto, el objetivo es buscar difundir la Teoría de los Registros de Representación Semiótica desarrollada por el francés Raymond Duval y presentar sus aportes a la enseñanza de funciones. Esta investigación es de carácter cualitativo y se configura como un levantamiento bibliográfico donde se utilizaron los estudios de Raymond Duval. Los dos principales temas de investigación son: la teoría de los registros de representación semiótica, donde inicialmente se discute la carrera de Duval, se aborda su aporte al Instituto de Investigación para la Enseñanza de las Matemáticas - IREM y su teoría. El segundo tema, función docente según la teoría de Duval, presenta el uso de su teoría en la función docente y los tipos de aproximación a este contenido. Así, el enfoque de interpretación global de propiedades figurativas es el más eficiente y permite incrementar el potencial del alumno.O ensino da matemática requer do professor métodos que atinjam todos os alunos e fazem destes um sujeito ativo na aprendizagem, cabe ao professor encontrar meios que facilitem o processo de aquisição do conhecimento. Com base nisso, objetiva-se buscar divulgar a Teoria dos Registros de Representação Semiótica desenvolvida pelo francês Raymond Duval e apresentar suas contribuições para o ensino de funções. A presente pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa e configura-se como levantamento bibliográfico onde se utilizou os estudos de Raymond Duval. Os dois tópicos principais da pesquisa são: a teoria dos registros de representação semiótica, onde inicialmente se fala da carreira de Duval, da sua contribuição para o Instituto de Pesquisa sobre o Ensino de Matemática – IREM e aborda-se a sua teoria. O segundo tópico, o ensino de função segundo a teoria de Duval, se apresenta o uso de sua teoria no ensino de função e os tipos de abordagem desse conteúdo.
