Resumo: | The aging of society is a world event, starting in developed nations, and has taken on great proportions in moderate and low income territories, especially Brazil. A representation of the growing group of elderly people, compared to the youth population in Brazil, is the “ageing index”, which will grow from 43.19% in 2018 to 173.47% in 2060. : To analyze the physiotherapeutic care in the rehabilitation of the health of the elderly. This study was a narrative literature review using selected articles dated from the last 10 years (January 2011 to June 2021), found in the Google Academic, Latin American and Caribbean Literature - LILACS and Cochrane Library databases on the website of Virtual Health Library - BIREME, Scientifc Electronic Library Online - SCIELO, dissertations and theses were also consulted. Thus, the various psychological, social, and bodily changes suffered by the elderly person must be assisted in the best possible way both within the government, with the increase and progress of public policies, as well as the training of health professionals. |

Una representación del grupo creciente de ancianos, en comparación con la población joven en Brasil, es el “índice de envejecimiento”, que pasará de 43,19% en 2018 a 173,47% en 2060: Analizar la asistencia fisioterapéutica en la rehabilitación del salud de los ancianos. Este estudio fue una revisión narrativa de la literatura utilizando artículos seleccionados con fecha de los últimos 10 años (enero de 2011 a junio de 2021), encontrados en las bases de datos Google Academic, Latin American and Caribbean Literature - LILACS y Cochrane Library en el sitio web de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud - BIREME, Scientifc Electronic Library Online - SCIELO, también se consultaron disertaciones y tesis. Así, los diversos cambios psicológicos, sociales y corporales que sufre el anciano deben ser atendidos de la mejor manera posible tanto desde el ámbito gubernamental, con el aumento y avance de las políticas públicas, como en la formación de los profesionales de la salud.O envelhecimento da sociedade é um acontecimento do mundo, iniciando nas nações desenvolvidas, e vem tomando proporções grandiosas nos territórios de moderada e rebaixada renda, em destaque o Brasil. Uma representação do crescente grupo de pessoas idosas, em comparação à população a juventude no Brasil é o “índice de envelhecimento”, que irá ter um crescente de 43,19%, em 2018, para 173,47% em 2060. Tem como objetivo: Analisar o atendimento fisioterapêutico na reabilitação da saúde do idoso. Este estudo tratou-se de uma revisão bibliográfica narrativa utilizando artigos selecionados datados dos últimos 10 anos (janeiro de 2011 á junho de 2021), encontrados nas bases de dados Google acadêmico, Literatura da América Latina e Caribe – LILACS e Biblioteca Cochrane no sítio da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde - BIREME, Scientifc Eletronic Library Online – SCIELO, foram consultados também dissertações e teses.
