Resumo: Granular cell tumor (GCT) is an uncommon benign neoplasm of neural origin that affects soft tissues. It has a predilection for females between the 4th and 6th decades of life and its clinically presented as a painless submucosal nodule on tongue. The treatment of choice is the total removal of the lesion, presenting a good prognosis, with rare cases of recurrence. The aim of this study was to report a case of granular cell tumor in a female patient, located on tongue, with about 3 years of evolution. The lesion was completely removed, and the patient remains without signs of recurrence. Thus, the granular cell tumor must be considered as a differential diagnosis of submucosal nodular lesions on tongue.

Tiene una predilección por las mujeres entre las 4 y 6 décadas de vida y se presenta clínicamente como un nódulo submucoso indoloro en la lengua. El tratamiento de elección es la extirpación total de la lesión, presentando un buen pronóstico, con casos raros de recurrencia. El objetivo de este estudio fue informar un caso de tumor de células granulares en una paciente, localizada en la lengua, con aproximadamente 3 años de evolución. La lesión se eliminó por completo y el paciente permanece sin signos de recurrencia. Por lo tanto, el tumor de células granulares debe considerarse como un diagnóstico diferencial de lesiones nodulares submucosas en la lengua.O tumor de células granulares (TCG) é uma neoplasia benigna de origem neural incomum que acomete tecidos moles. Possui predileção pelo sexo feminino entre as 4ª e 6ª décadas de vida e apresenta-se clinicamente como um nódulo submucoso indolor em dorso de língua. O tratamento de escolha é a remoção total da lesão, apresentando um bom prognóstico, com casos raros de recidiva. O objetivo deste trabalho foi relatar um caso de tumor de células granulares em uma paciente do sexo feminino, localizada em dorso de língua, com  cerca de 3 anos de evolução. A lesão foi removida completamente e a paciente segue sem sinais de recidiva.
