Resumo: | The study aims to analyze the national and international scientific biography about the workloads present in nursing care for elderly. A search was executed in July 2019, in five databases, establishing the criteria of inclusion and exclusion, in the final four studies were selected. The results highlighted aging as a natural process, showing that care for the elderly has particularities and being necessary to monitor the exposure of nursing workers to workloads for subsidize better working conditions and interventions in health institutions. Concludes that if they improve working conditions the workers have less exposure to workloads and it will possibly increase the quality of care, affecting the life of the elderly person and his family. |

Se realizó una búsqueda en julio de 2019, en cinco bases de datos, estableciendo los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, en los cuatro estudios finales seleccionados. Los resultados destacaron el envejecimiento como un proceso natural, mostrando que el cuidado de los ancianos tiene particularidades y que es necesario controlar la exposición de los trabajadores de enfermería a las cargas de trabajo para subsidiar mejores condiciones de trabajo e intervenciones en las instituciones de salud. Concluye que si mejoran las condiciones de trabajo, los trabajadores tienen menos exposición a las cargas de trabajo y posiblemente aumentará la calidad de la atención, afectando la vida de la persona mayor y su familia.O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar a produção científica nacional e internacional acerca das cargas de trabalho presentes na assistência de enfermagem ao idoso. A busca foi realizada em julho de 2019, em cinco bases de dados, estabelecendo-se critérios de inclusão e exclusão, sendo selecionados ao final quatro estudos. Os resultados destacam o envelhecimento como um processo natural, evidenciando que o cuidado à pessoa idosa possui particularidades, sendo necessário monitorar a exposição dos trabalhadores de enfermagem às cargas de trabalho para subsidiar melhores condições laborais e intervenções nas instituições de saúde.
