The disclosure of sustainable practices in agribusiness companies listed on B3

Resumo: Sustainability in agribusiness is on the agenda, due to the impacts of its production process on nature and the community, making investors and consumers increasingly demand more transparency on socio-environmental issues, in addition to economic information. In view of this, the study aimed to identify the sustainable actions disclosed in agribusiness companies listed on B3 and relate them to the SDGs. To this end, a descriptive, documental, and qualitative research was developed, using a sample of three companies, whose data were collected through materials on sustainability, published on corporate websites. Based on the content analysis, it was found that SLC Agrícola and BrasilAgro highlight their practices in very detailed annual reports, unlike Terra Santa, which discloses them on its own website in a more summarized manner. Furthermore, it could be inferred that among the cited actions, most are related to SDG 15 - Life on Earth and SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth. The results found indicate that all the companies surveyed disclose their socio-environmental responsibility, with variations only in the way they present and describe the information.

Frente a eso, el estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar acciones sostenibles divulgadas em empresas del agronegocio listadas en B3 y relacionarlas con los ODS. Para ello, se desarrolló una investigación descriptiva, documental y cualitativa, utilizando una muestra de tres empresas, cuyos datos fueron recolectados a través de materiales sobre sustentabilidad, publicados en sitios web corporativos. Del análisis de contenido se constató que SLC Agrícola y BrasilAgro evidencian sus prácticas en informes anuales muy detallados, a diferencia de Terra Santa, que hace la divulgación en su próprio sitio web de forma más resumida. Además, se puede inferir que entre las acciones mencionadas, la mayoría están relacionadas con el ODS 15 – Vida en la Tierra y el ODS 8 – Trabajo decente y crecimiento económico. Los resultados encontrados indican que todas las empresas encuestadas hacen revelaciones sobre su responsabilidad socioambiental, con variaciones solo en la forma de presentar y describir la información.A sustentabilidade no agronegócio está em pauta, devido aos impactos do seu processo produtivo sobre a natureza e a comunidade, fazendo com que investidores e consumidores exijam cada vez mais transparência quanto às questões socioambientais, para além de informações econômicas. Em vista disso, o estudo teve por objetivo identificar as ações sustentáveis divulgadas em empresas do agronegócio listadas na B3 e relacioná-las com os ODS. Para tanto foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa de ordem descritiva, documental e qualitativa, utilizando uma amostra de três companhias, cujos dados foram coletados por meio de materiais sobre sustentabilidade, publicados nos sites corporativos. A partir da análise de conteúdo, constatou-se que a SLC Agrícola e a BrasilAgro evidenciam suas práticas em relatórios anuais bem detalhados, diferente da Terra Santa que faz a divulgação em seu próprio site de maneira mais resumida. Além disso, pôde-se inferir que dentre as ações citadas, a maior parte relaciona-se com o ODS 15 – Vida Terrestre e ODS 8 – Trabalho Decente e Crescimento Econômico.
