Construction of educational technology for self care in heart failure

Resumo: The aim of the study was to build a digital educational technology to guide self-care to heart failure patients and their caregivers. Therefore, the methodology consists of two stages: 1) Integrative Literature Review; 2) Elaboration of educational technology using the instrument called “Plain-Language Checklist for Creating and Reviewing Your Materials / 2013”. As a result of the Review, the following categories were highlighted: self-care as a hindrance, the impact of caregivers on quality of life, coping/focused coping, literacy, mood disorders, fatigue and dyspnea. Strategies and guidelines for addressing these difficulties were included in the technology created, which resulted in 41 pages. Finally, it is concluded that patients with heart failure and their caregivers need information about the pathology, once this can increase the quality of life, decrease exacerbation and rehospitalizations. During the Corona virus pandemic, it is believed that the technology created may assist in the management of self-care, avoiding unnecessary exposure to health services or alerting to clinical manifestations that deserve face-to-face assistance, avoiding the fear of acquiring COVID-19 in a hospital is an obstacle for decompensated patients to seek care.

Con este fin, la metodología consta de dos etapas, la primera de las cuales es una revisión integral de literatura (IR) en línea en el sitio web de la biblioteca virtual de salud. En julio de 2019, se seleccionaron 14 artículos para la primera pregunta y 07 artículos en la segunda pregunta. La segunda etapa metodológica se centró en el desarrollo de la tecnología educativa, que tuvo lugar a partir del análisis de IR. Con este fin, se utilizó un instrumento para guiar su formato, la "Lista de verificación en lenguaje sencillo para crear y revisar sus materiales / 2013". Como resultado de IR, se destacaron los siguientes elementos que interfieren con el autocuidado, el autocuidado como una dificultad, el impacto de los cuidadores en la calidad de vida, el afrontamiento / afrontamiento enfocado, la alfabetización, los trastornos del estado de ánimo, la fatiga y la disnea. Del mismo modo, dichos resultados también se incluyeron en la tecnología creada, resultaron en 43 páginas. Finalmente, se concluye que los pacientes con IC y sus cuidadores deben estar informados sobre su estado de salud, ya que esto aumenta la calidad de vida, reduce la exacerbación y las rehospitalizaciones. En el escenario actual, la tecnología creada puede ayudar en el manejo del autocuidado, alertando sobre manifestaciones clínicas de empeoramiento que merecen asistencia inmediata en los servicios de salud, evitando así el hacinamiento en los servicios de salud y la exposición innecesaria, evitando que adquieran COVID-19.O objetivo do estudo foi construir uma tecnologia educativa digital para orientar o autocuidado a pacientes portadores de insuficiência cardíaca e seus cuidadores. Para tanto, a metodologia compõe-se de duas etapas: 1) Revisão Integrativa de Literatura; 2) Elaboração da tecnologia educativa a partir do instrumento denominado “Plain-Language Checklist for Creating and Reviewing Your Materials/2013”. Como resultado da Revisão destacaram-se as seguintes categorias: o próprio autocuidado como dificultador, o impacto de cuidadores na qualidade de vida, coping/enfrentamento focado, letramento, transtornos de humor, fadiga e dispneia. Estratégias e orientações para enfrentar essas dificuldades foram incluídas na tecnologia criada, a qual resultou em 41 páginas. Por fim, conclui-se que portadores de insuficiência cardíaca e seus cuidadores necessitam de informações sobre a patologia, uma vez que isso pode aumentar a qualidade de vida, diminuir quadros de exacerbação e reospitalizações.
