Rescue of the ethnozootherapeutic knowledge of the Barra do Una Community (Peruíbe-SP)

Resumo: | Animals are one of the utmost importante resources for humanity since primitives times. Its uses as medicinal items can be called ethnozoology, and it is a activity which is historically and geographically widespread throughout the world. This survey aimed to rescue and describe the ethnozoology of the Barra do Una, a traditional Community located in municipality of Peruíbe- SP. Field research was conducted to residentes, and its data were collected through semi- structured questions addressing the subject. 13 animals were cited by the interviewees, and according to them, these animals were able to treat 19 types of deseases. The research results showed a rich knowledge of faunal medicinal resources that the Community has. These descriptions are mainly important for Communities that no longer use these resources, such as the Community studied. These researches besides strengthen cultural ties, they can also serve as sources of studies for several areas related to tradicional knowledge, such as: public health, anthropology, environmental and cultural education and so on. |

El uso de estos como artículos medicinales se puede llamar etnozoología, y es una actividad histórica y geográficamente generalizada en todo el mundo. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo rescatar y describir la etnozoología de la Barra do Una, una comunidad tradicional ubicada en el municipio de Peruíbe-SP. La investigación de campo se realizó com los residentes y los datos se recopilaron a través de preguntas semiestructuradas que abordan el tema. Los encuestados citaron 13 animales y, según ellos, pudieron tratar hasta 19 tipos de enfermedades. Los resultados de la encuesta mostraron una gran cantidad de conocimiento sobre los recursos medicinales faunísticos en la comunidad, y lo importante que era ese conocimiento para ellos. Estas descripciones de los recursos de fauna medicinal son importantes, principalmente, para aquellas comunidades que ya no los usan, como este estudio, donde, además de fortalecer los lazos culturales, también pueden servir como fuentes de estudios para diferentes áreas de relación. con sabiduría tradicional, como ejemplos: salud pública, antropología, educación ambiental y cultural, entre otros usos.Os animais são um dos recursos mais importantes para a humanidade desde os tempos primitivos. O uso destes como itens medicinais pode ser chamado de etnozoologia, sendo essa uma atividade histórica e geograficamente difundida no mundo todo. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo resgatar e descrever o conhecimento etnozooterápico da comunidade Barra do Una, uma comunidade tradicional da Cidade de Peruíbe-SP. Foram feitas pesquisas de campo com os moradores, e os dados foram coletados por meio de questões semiestruturadas abordando o assunto. Foram citados 13 animais pelos entrevistados, e de acordo com eles, esses eram capazes de curar até 19 tipos de doenças. Os resultados da pesquisa mostraram um rico conhecimento sobre recursos medicinais faunísticos da comunidade, e o quão importante esse conhecimento foi para eles.
