Resumo: The growth of the civil construction sector in recent years has contributed to the increase in buildings in the country, mainly aimed at popular housing. With this, it has been observed that these are being built and designed on large scales and not having the necessary care during their execution, in such a way that in a short time damages will appear, which cause pathological manifestations of difficult correction or high cost. In this way, identifying, establishing preventive and corrective measures during the design, execution, material specification phases are important to prevent this type of anomalies. In order to contribute to the reduction of future problems, a case study was developed in a popular housing that presents fissures and cracks in various environments, in order to identify the origin of the pathological manifestations, as well as to present a diagnosis of the situation, seeking to understand the cause and consequence relationships, in order to present solutions and actions to regularize the problems encountered.

Con esto, se ha observado que estos se están construyendo y diseñando a gran escala y no teniendo los cuidados necesarios durante su ejecución, de tal forma que en poco tiempo aparecerán daños, que provocan manifestaciones patológicas de difícil corrección o alto costo. De esta forma, identificar, establecer medidas preventivas y correctivas durante las fases de diseño, ejecución, especificación de materiales es importante para prevenir este tipo de anomalías. Con el fin de contribuir a la reducción de problemas futuros, se desarrolló un estudio de caso en una vivienda popular que presenta fisuras y grietas en diversos ambientes, con el fin de identificar el origen de las manifestaciones patológicas, así como presentar un diagnóstico de la situación, buscando comprender las relaciones de causa y consecuencia, con el fin de presentar soluciones y acciones para regularizar los problemas encontrados.O crescimento do setor da construção civil nos últimos anos tem contribuído para o aumento de edificações no país, principalmente voltadas a habitação popular. Com isso, tem-se observado que estas estão sendo construídas e projetadas em grandes escalas e não tendo os devidos cuidados necessários durante sua execução, de tal forma que em pouco tempo venham aparecer danos, que ocasionam em manifestações patológicas de difícil correção ou alto custo. Dessa forma, identificar, estabelecer medidas preventivas e corretivas durante as fases de projeto, execução, especificação de materiais, são importantes para prevenir esse tipo de anomalias.
