Treatment of depression through food and phytotherapy

Resumo: In recent years, the use of herbal medicines and food has shown positive results in the treatment of depression, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of the use of omega 3, turmeric and tryptophan in the depression treatment. In the initial research, according to the chosen theme, 4,847 articles were selected by the integrative review of scientific literature, according to consultations and the SCIELO, SCIENCE database DIRECT, WILEY and PubMeD, and at the end, 10 articles were chosen to be used and compose the research. The content was approached in the following way, firstly about the stages of depression and their respective approaches, for deepening, and then the influence of nutrients and physiotherapists in depression, including omega 3, saffron and tryptophan. It is concluded that the adequate consumption of seafood and the choice of natural seasonings, has positive results both in improvement of the symptom, as to avoid the disorder.

En la investigación inicial, de acuerdo con el tema elegido, 4.847 artículos fueron seleccionados por la revisión integradora de la literatura científica, según consultas y base de datos SCIELO, SCIENCE DIRECT, WILEY y PubMeD, y al final, 10 artículos fueron elegidos para utilizar y componer la investigación. El contenido era abordado de la siguiente manera, primero sobre las etapas de la depresión y sus respectivos abordajes, para su profundización, y luego la influencia de nutrientes y medicinas herbales en la depresión, incluyendo omega 3, azafrán y triptófano. Se concluye que el consumo adecuado de pescados y mariscos y la elección de condimentos naturales, tiene resultados positivos tanto en mejoría del síntoma, como para evitar el trastorno.Nos últimos anos, o uso de fitoterápicos e a alimentação tem mostrado resultados positivos no tratamento da depressão, o objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar os efeitos do uso do ômega 3, açafrão e triptofano no tratamento de depressão. Na pesquisa inicial de acordo com o tema escolhido foram selecionados 4.847 artigos pela revisão integrativa de literatura científica, de acordo com consultas e a base de dados da SCIELO, SCIENCE DIRECT, WILEY e PubMeD, e ao final foram escolhidos 10 artigos para utilização e compor a pesquisa. O conteúdo foi abordado da seguinte forma, primeiramente sobre os estágios da depressão e suas respectivas abordagens, para aprofundamento, e em seguida a influência de nutrientes e fitoterápicos na depressão, dentre eles o ômega 3, açafrão e triptofano.
