Selection processes at a stricto sensu level: a discussion about selections for master's and doctorate degrees in education

Resumo: This article aimed to reflect on the selection processes at a stricto sensu level, attenuating the context of education. For that, an integrative bibliographic research was carried out, which culminated in a theoretical contribution based mainly on Oliveira, Moura e Lima; Balbachevsky; Cordeiro, as well as contributions from Marins. The results were the target of the construction of four categories that outlined the product of this investigation. The first category entitled “Curriculum, training and scores”, highlighted a brief look at the importance of building a career in the selection area so that productions and participation in general are concentrated as a starting point for professional experience. The second category is entitled “Teachers with stricto sensu training: successes in Basic Education?” sought to discuss the importance and insertion of postgraduate teachers at a stricto sensu level for the advancement of Basic Education in general. The third category “The ratio of masters and doctors and access as professors of higher education”, revealed the desire of many professionals completing master's and doctoral courses to enter the professional practice of higher education, however, this process is increasingly disputed and the construction of a good curriculum becomes the great differential. The study concludes by pointing to the possibility of future research involving a field study with the perceptions of master's and doctoral students at the end of their cycle and the expectations of accessing the higher education teaching market.

Para ello, se realizó una investigación bibliográfica integradora, que culminó en un aporte teórico basado principalmente en Oliveira, Moura e Lima; Balbachevsky; Cordeiro, así como aportes de Marins. Los resultados fueron objeto de la construcción de cuatro categorías que perfilaron el producto de esta investigación. La primera categoría titulada “Currículum, formación y partituras”, destacó una breve mirada sobre la importancia de construir una carrera en el área de selección para que las producciones y la participación en general se concentren como punto de partida de la experiencia profesional. La segunda categoría titulada “Docentes con formación stricto sensu: ¿éxitos en la Educación Básica?” buscó discutir la importancia y la inserción de los docentes de posgrado en un nivel stricto sensu para el avance de la Educación Básica en general. La tercera categoría “La relación de maestros y doctores y el acceso como profesores de educación superior”, reveló el deseo de muchos profesionales que completan cursos de maestría y doctorado de ingresar al ejercicio profesional de la educación superior, sin embargo, este proceso es cada vez más cuestionado y la construcción de un buen currículo se convierte en el gran diferencial. El estudio concluye apuntando la posibilidad de futuras investigaciones que involucren un estudio de campo con las percepciones de los estudiantes de maestría y doctorado al final de su ciclo y las expectativas de acceso al mercado docente de la educación superior.Este artigo teve por objetivo refletir sobre os processos de seleção em nível stricto sensu, atenuando o contexto da educação. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo integrativa que culminou com um aporte teórico fundamentado principalmente em Oliveira, Moura e Lima; Balbachevsky; Cordeiro, bem como, contribuições de Marins. Os resultados foram alvo da construção de quatro categorias que delinearam o produto desta investigação. A primeira categoria intitulada “Currículo, capacitação e pontuações”, destacou um breve olhar frente a importância da construção de uma carreira na área de seleção para que as produções e participações em geral concentram-se enquanto ponto de partida para a experiência profissional. A segunda categoria intitulada “Professores com formação stricto sensu: êxitos na Educação Básica?” buscou dialogar com a importância e inserção de professores pós-graduados em nível stricto sensu para o avanço da Educação Básica em geral. A terceira categoria “A relação de mestres e doutores e o acesso enquanto professores do magistério superior”, revelou o almejo de muitos profissionais concluintes de cursos de mestrado e doutorado em ingressar no exercício profissional do magistério superior, entretanto, este processo está cada vez mais disputado e a construção de um bom currículo torna-se o grande diferencial.
