History of chemistry: a theoretical study on the pile of Alessandro Volta

Resumo: This article aims to reveal the importance of the work of the Italian physicist and chemist Alessandro Volta, in the 18th century, the voltaic cell. Also aiming at the relevance of this invention in the teaching of chemistry in high school, more specifically in the study of batteries, in which there is a gap in relation to this subject, often unnoticed and without crediting the real importance, neither to the content studied, nor to scientists involved in the discoveries. These are vitally notable so that the student can feel comfortable and understand that scientific discoveries occur with successions of works and research. The research also calls for attention to the scientific and technological advance of batteries over the centuries after their invention, for the scientists responsible for these advances; and yet, it alludes to the environmental impacts caused by the rampant consumption of electronic devices that use some type of battery since the first devices that used this technology for their operation.

También apuntando a la relevancia de esta invención en la enseñanza de la química en la escuela secundaria, más específicamente en el estudio de las baterías, en el que existe una brecha en relación con este tema, a menudo inadvertido y sin dar crédito a la importancia real, ni al contenido estudiado, ni a los científicos. involucrado en los descubrimientos. Estos son de vital importancia para que el estudiante pueda sentirse cómodo y comprender que los descubrimientos científicos se producen con sucesiones de trabajos e investigaciones. La investigación también llama la atención sobre el avance científico y tecnológico de las baterías durante los siglos posteriores a su invención, para los científicos responsables de estos avances; y, sin embargo, alude a los impactos ambientales causados por el consumo desenfrenado de dispositivos electrónicos que usan algún tipo de batería desde los primeros dispositivos que utilizaron esta tecnología para su funcionamiento.O presente artigo tem como seu principal objetivo revelar a importância do trabalho do físico e químico italiano Alessandro Volta, no século XVIII, a pilha voltaica. Visando também a relevância deste invento no ensino de química no Ensino Médio, mais especificamente no estudo de pilhas, na qual existe uma defasagem com relação a este assunto, muitas vezes despercebido e sem creditar a real importância, nem ao conteúdo estudado, nem aos cientistas envolvidos nas descobertas.  Estas são de vital notabilidade para que o aluno possa se sentir confortável e entender que descobertas científicas se dão com sucessões de trabalhos e pesquisas.
