Non-epileptic crisis: paroxystic events of psychogenic origin

Resumo: This article addresses the non-epileptic seizure in paroxysmal events of psychogenic origin. It discusses the difficulties that health professionals, responsible for the diagnosis, have when dealing with individuals who present epileptic signs and symptoms, but which, in turn, are not related to epilepsy. In this context, we investigate the process of diagnosing Non-Epileptic Psychogenic Crisis (NCNE). For this, the bibliographic research was used as a methodological procedure. During this process, data was collected from published articles that covered and portrayed the theme directed to clinical practice, thus, academic publications were analyzed, those of interest were selected, and through observation, the data were analyzed in order to gather the knowledge produced. About the subject. After research, it was concluded that it is necessary for health teams to be aware of the characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of a PNEC, so that, in the face of any apparent occurrence, they seek to investigate, in detail, the individual's life history and that, in sequence, the patient is referred to the video-electroencephalogram, in order to correctly discard or confirm the investigation and offer a resolutive treatment.

Discute las dificultades que los profesionales de la salud, responsables por el diagnóstico, tienen al tratar con individuos que presentan signos y síntomas epilépticos, pero que, a su vez, no están relacionados con la epilepsia. En este contexto, investigamos el proceso de diagnóstico de Crisis Psicógenas No Epilépticas (NCFE). Para ello, se utilizó como procedimiento metodológico la investigación bibliográfica. Durante este proceso, se recogieron datos de artículos publicados que cubrían y retrataban la temática dirigida a la práctica clínica, así, se analizaron publicaciones académicas, se seleccionaron las de interés y, a través de la observación, se analizaron los datos para recoger el conocimiento producido. Sobre el tema. Luego de la investigación, se concluyó que es necesario que los equipos de salud conozcan las características, el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de una PNEC, para que, ante cualquier aparente ocurrencia, busquen investigar, en detalle, la historia de vida del individuo. y que, en secuencia, se remita al paciente al video-electroencefalograma, con el fin de descartar o confirmar correctamente la investigación y ofrecer un tratamiento resolutivo.Este artigo aborda a crise não epiléptica em eventos paroxísticos de origem psicogênica. Nele, discute-se as dificuldades que os profissionais da saúde, responsáveis pelo diagnóstico, possuem ao lidar com indivíduos que apresentam sinais e sintomas epilépticos, mas que por sua vez, não tem relação com a epilepsia. Nesse contexto, o objetivo geral é investigar como se dá o processo de diagnóstico da Crise Psicogênica não Epiléptica (CPNE). Para isso, o procedimento metodológico reportou-se ao uso da pesquisa bibliográfica por meio da coleta de dados de artigos publicados que abrangessem e retratassem a temática direcionada à prática clínica, assim, foram analisadas publicações acadêmicas, selecionadas as de interesse, e por meio da observação foram analisados os dados com intuito de reunir o conhecimento produzido sobre o tema.
