Resumo: | The aim of this study was to evaluate the results of using a virtual application in the language therapy of a subject with non-fluent aphasia. Method: First, a virtual application based on the SVOX Brazilian Portuguese Luciana Voice system (text-voice) was created, installed on a mobile device, with Android 2.1 technology. The elaboration of this application took as a principle the sensorimotor continuity (acoustic-articulatory and visual-articulatory). The patient underwent conventional therapy for three months without the application and, later, another three months with the application. Results: In the first three months, there was an increase in more conventional gestures, favoring the subject's communication and improving the interlocutor's understanding. Nevertheless, the use of the application led to a considerable decrease in stereotypy, which caused great disruption in the subject's oral production and made it impossible to understand his speech without the use of gestures and writing, concomitantly. Conclusion: the application was efficient as a therapeutic tool to improve the subject's oral production by suppressing stereotypy. |

Research, Society and Development2020-05-04info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/387710.33448/rsd-v9i7.3877Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 7; e147973877Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 7; e147973877Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 7; e1479738772525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3877/3302Copyright (c) 2020 Bianca Nunes Pimentelinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessPimentel, Bianca NunesFedosse, ElenirCechella, Claudio2020-08-20T18:05:03Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/3877Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:27:56.012591Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false |
