Resumo: | To analyze how superbug infections are established in the operating room and in the intensive care unit. This article is an integrative literature review. The databases of scientific articles were used to perform the searches: US National Library of Medicine (PubMed) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Virtual Health Library (BVS). The key words were used to meet the theme, CRI and ND, with a prospective design: "infection" AND "surgical center" AND "intensive care unit". The time frame includes articles published between 2010 and 2022. The hospital environment is highly potentiated for the development of superbugs in patients who underwent surgical procedures. In addition to care during surgery, it is necessary to assess how external factors influence the proliferation of these bacterial microorganisms. It is necessary to evaluate the sterile conditions of the hospital environment, preoperative and postoperative preparations, in addition, studies indicate that the patient's lifestyle habits, such as alcohol consumption and nicotine use, influence in the greater probability of developing infections. Another relevant factor is the patient's history of previous illnesses , because if you have an immunosuppressed immune system, there is a greater chance of developing contamination by superbugs. Bacterial contamination still has a high prevalence worldwide, becoming a public health problem. |

Research, Society and Development2023-01-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3945310.33448/rsd-v12i1.39453Research, Society and Development; Vol. 12 No. 1; e4212139453Research, Society and Development; Vol. 12 Núm. 1; e4212139453Research, Society and Development; v. 12 n. 1; e42121394532525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/39453/32365Copyright (c) 2023 Felipe Valadão Borges; Laura Vilela Buiatte Silva; Kássia Karoline Barcelos; Mariana Soerger; Taynara Carrijo Moreira ; Thiago Melanias Araújo de Oliveira; Wanessa Flores de Paiva; Andressa Mendes Borelli ; Moreno Coelho Cyríaco; Laís Celi Mendes Rezende https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBorges, Felipe Valadão Silva, Laura Vilela Buiatte Barcelos, Kássia Karoline Soerger, Mariana Moreira , Taynara Carrijo Oliveira, Thiago Melanias Araújo de Paiva, Wanessa Flores de Borelli , Andressa Mendes Cyríaco, Moreno Coelho Rezende , Laís Celi Mendes2023-01-13T10:30:42Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/39453Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2023-01-13T10:30:42Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false |
