Resumo: The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of auriculotherapy and cupping therapy on the improvement of pain in employees of a higher education institution. It is an experimental, descriptive field research with a quantitative approach. Held at a reference University Center in Teresina - PI, from February to June 2022, the sample consisted of 8 employees of the aforementioned Institution. For data collection, we used our own questionnaire, the visual analogue pain scale (VAS) and a validated questionnaire, called Brief Pain Inventory, before and after treatment. The study data were compiled and statistically analyzed using SPSS 22.0 software for Windows and Excel 2022. The study was predominantly male, 75% (n=6), with a mean age of 29 years, and most employees 50% perform the role of faculty at the institution (n=4). After treatment, there was a decrease in pain and pain intensity, in addition to an improvement in mood, sleep and work performance.

Es una investigación de campo, experimental, descriptiva, con enfoque cuantitativo. Realizado en un Centro Universitario de referencia en Teresina - PI, de febrero a junio de 2022, la muestra estuvo compuesta por 8 empleados de la referida Institución. Para la recogida de datos utilizamos nuestro propio cuestionario, la escala analógica visual del dolor (EVA) y un cuestionario validado, denominado Brief Pain Inventory, antes y después del tratamiento. Los datos del estudio se recopilaron y analizaron estadísticamente con el software SPSS 22.0 para Windows y Excel 2022. El estudio fue predominantemente masculino, 75 % (n=6), con una edad media de 29 años, y la mayoría de los empleados, el 50 %, desempeñan funciones de docentes. en la institución (n=4). Después del tratamiento, hubo una disminución en el dolor y la intensidad del dolor, además de una mejora en el estado de ánimo, el sueño y el rendimiento laboral.O objetivo do estudo foi investigar os efeitos da auriculoterapia e ventosaterapia sob a melhora da dor dos colaboradores de uma instituição de ensino de nível superior. Trata – se de uma pesquisa de campo do tipo experimental, descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa. Realizada em um Centro Universitário de referência em Teresina - PI, de fevereiro a junho de 2022, a amostra foi composta por 8 colaboradores da referida Instituição. Para a coleta de dados, foi utilizado um questionário próprio, a escala visual analógica de dor (EVA) e um questionário validado, chamado Inventário Breve de Dor, antes e após o tratamento. Os dados do estudo foram compilados e analisados estatístisticamente por meio do Software SPSS 22.0 para Windows e o Excel 2022. O estudo teve predomínio do sexo masculino 75% (n=6), com idade média de 29 anos, sendo que a maioria dos funcionários desempenham a função de docentes da instituição 50% ( n=4).
