Exclusive breastfeeding during the first hour of life: an integrative review

Resumo: According to the humanization model of assistance to labor and childbirth, there must be incentive to skin-to-skin contact from the professionals who work at this area. Objective: Investigating scientific evidence on exclusive breastfeeding during the first hour of life. Method: Integrative review carried out on the Literature of Latin America and the Caribbean and the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System On line by Pubmed databases. Results: The topics that appeared on the articles studied focused on the incentive to skin-to-skin contact; breastfeeding as a benefit to the bond between mother and baby; consideration of opinions from puerperal women regarding breastfeeding. The results highlight the necessity of training area towards promoting breastfeeding during the first hour of life, as well as the importance of public authorities support on the theme. Conclusion: Benefits of exclusive breastfeeding during the first hour of and contributing in a useful way to a healthy society.

Objetivo: Investigar las evidencias científicas sobre amamantamiento materno exclusivo em la primera hora de vida. Método: Revisión integradora de literatura realizada em las bases de datos Literatura de América Latina y del Caribe y Medical Literatura Analisysan Retriveal system online por Pumed. Resultados: Los temas que emergieron de los artículos analizados presentan un enfoque em el estímulo al contacto piel a piel; elamamantamiento materno como benéfico para el vínculo entre el binomio; la consideración de la opinión de las puérperas conrespecto al amamantamiento. Se destaca la necesidad de capacitaciones para los equipos para fomentar elamamantamiento materno em la primera hora de vida, como también la importância del apoyo del poder público sobre el tema. Consideraciones: Los benefícios del amamantamiento materno exclusivo, em la primera hora de vida, interfieren de modo provechoso en una sociedade saludable.No modelo de humanização na atenção ao parto e nascimento, o estímulo ao contato pele a pele deve estar presente, na promoção e facilitação por meio dos profissionais que atuam no serviço. Objetivo: Investigar as evidências científicas sobre aleitamento materno exclusivo na primeira hora de vida. Método: Revisão integrativa de literatura realizada nas bases de dados Literatura da América Latina e do Caribe e Medical Literature Analisys and Retriveal system online pela Pubmed. Resultados: Os temas que emergiram dos artigos analisados apresentaram foco no estímulo ao contato pele a pele; o aleitamento materno como benéfico para o vínculo entre o binômio; a consideração da opinião das puérperas em relação a amamentação. Destaca-se a necessidade de capacitações às equipes para a promoção do aleitamento materno na primeira hora de vida.
