Impacts on the mental health of nursing professionals involved in the front line in the fight against COVID-19: an integrative review

Resumo: | Objective: to investigate the impacts on the mental health of nursing professionals directly involved in the fight against COVID-19. Methodology: an integrative review was carried out. Searches were carried out for materials published in databases from November 2019 to September 2021, using the descriptors "pandemic", "COVID-19", "nursing", "health professionals" and "mental health". Results: in the factors that impacted the mental health of the nursing professional, the precarious working conditions, lack of materials, PPE, technical skills and rest, long working hours were highlighted; impact the mental health of the professional, with feelings such as anxiety, fear, insomnia, stress, depression and Burnout Syndrome; in terms of mental health promotion actions, the use of technologies to contact family and friends, the use of integrative and complementary practices such as auriculoacupuncture, expansion of the supervision of working conditions by the Federal Nursing Council, were highlighted. check PPE availability and workflow. Conclusion: nurses have been facing impacts on their mental health, due to the lack of working conditions, lack of PPE, training and work overload, requiring training, protection and safety actions, as well as psychological support and public policies aimed at mental health of these workers. |

Se realizaron búsquedas de materiales publicados en bases de datos desde noviembre de 2019 hasta septiembre de 2021, utilizando los descriptores "pandemia", "COVID-19", "enfermería", "profesionales de la salud" y "salud mental". Resultados: entre los factores que incidieron en la salud mental del profesional de enfermería, se destacaron las condiciones precarias de trabajo, falta de materiales, EPP, habilidades técnicas y descanso, jornada laboral prolongada; impactar la salud mental del profesional, con sentimientos como ansiedad, miedo, insomnio, estrés, depresión y Síndrome de Burnout; En cuanto a las acciones de promoción de la salud mental, el uso de tecnologías para el contacto con familiares y amigos, el uso de prácticas integradoras y complementarias como la auriculoacupuntura, la ampliación de la inspección de condiciones de trabajo por parte del Consejo Federal de Enfermería, consultar disponibilidad de EPP y flujo de trabajo Conclusión: los enfermeros enfrentan impactos en su salud mental, debido a la falta de condiciones de trabajo, falta de EPP, capacitación y sobrecarga de trabajo, requiriendo acciones de capacitación, protección y seguridad, así como apoyo psicológico y políticas públicas dirigidas a la salud mental. de estos trabajadores.Objetivo: investigar os impactos na saúde mental dos profissionais da enfermagem envolvidos diretamente no combate a COVID-19. Metodologia: foi realizado uma revisão integrativa. Sendo realizadas buscas por materiais publicados em bases de dados no período de novembro de 2019 a setembro de 2021, utilizando os descritores “pandemia”, “COVID-19”, “enfermagem”, “profissionais de saúde” e “saúde mental”. Resultados: nos fatores que impactaram na saúde mental do profissional de enfermagem, destacou-se a precariedade das condições de trabalho, falta de materiais, EPIs, habilidades técnicas e descanso, longa jornada de trabalho; impactam à saúde mental do profissional, com sentimentos como ansiedade, medo, insônia, estresse, depressão e Síndrome de Burnout; em se tratando das ações de promoção da saúde mental, destacaram-se o uso de tecnologias para contatar os familiares e amigos, a utilização de práticas integrativas e complementares como a auriculoacunpuntura, ampliação da fiscalização das condições de trabalho pelo Conselho Federal de Enfermagem, visando verificar a disponibilidade de EPIs e fluxo de trabalho.
