Resumo: This study aimed to characterize the profile of cesarean sections of a usual risk maternity in the interior of RS. It was carried out by means of a descriptive, retrospective, documentary and quantitative research, which analyzed 1062 medical records of women who had the gestational outcome between the months of June 2018 to May 2019, in a maternity reference of habitual risk, in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. The analysis was performed statistically to know the frequency and average of the results. Some data were considered relevant for the indication of cesarean sections, such as: age of the patients, parity, gestational age, if there was induction of labor before the indication for cesarean section and the use of technologies for pain relief during labor. It is concluded, from this study, that even with all the support, there are still indications of unnecessary cesarean sections, which can influence both maternal outcomes and neonatal outcomes.

Research, Society and Development2021-01-17info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/1174710.33448/rsd-v10i1.11747Research, Society and Development; Vol. 10 No. 1; e33610111747Research, Society and Development; Vol. 10 Núm. 1; e33610111747Research, Society and Development; v. 10 n. 1; e336101117472525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/11747/10588Copyright (c) 2021 Tailini Vieira Barrios; Lidiane Carvalho de Souza; Claudia Maria Gabert Diaz; Clandio Timm Marques; Karen Ticyane da Silva Carrion; Cláudia Zamberlan; Francislene Lopes Menezeshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBarrios, Tailini Vieira Souza, Lidiane Carvalho deDiaz, Claudia Maria Gabert Marques, Clandio Timm Carrion, Karen Ticyane da Silva Zamberlan, Cláudia Menezes, Francislene Lopes 2021-02-20T21:19:23Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/11747Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:33:29.035156Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
