Resumo: Objective: to analyze the presence and triggering factors of suicidal behavior in college students. Methodology: research descriptive exploratory, qualitative, application of digital survey with information social-demographic, mental health, suicidal behavior, analyses of referential content.  Participation, 34 college students. Results: majority below 21 years old, single, female, white, no children, enrolled in the first three semesters, individual income up to R$1.000,00, family income up to R$2.000,00, unemployed, financial hardships; family history of mental disturb and suicidal behavior; 22 participants had suicidal behavior, majority with suicidal thoughts, 12 recurrent thoughts, some life-risk behavior, 12 practice mutilation, 5 planned suicide, one attempt suicide, one had previous treatment. Predisposing factors: relationships and relatives, mental disturbs; trigger factors: low self-esteem, financial hardships, stressed circumstances, sadness, impulsiveness. Conclusion: most of the participants presented suicidal behavior, present and repetition of suicidal behavior and risky behavior, none was receiving professional health increasing suicidal risk.

Métodos: encuesta exploratorio-descriptiva, cualitativa, aplicación encuesta digital con informaciones sociodemográficas, salud mental, comportamiento suicida; referencial de la análisis del contenido.  Participaran 34 universitarios. Resultados: mayoría de edad inferior 21 años, soltera, femenina, blanca, sin niños, matriculada hasta 3r semestre, renta individual hasta R$1.000,00, familiar hasta R$2.000,00, sin actividad remunerada, con dificultades económicas; historia familiar de trastorno mental y comportamiento suicida; 22 participantes tuvieran comportamiento suicida, mayoría con predominio de ideación suicida, 12 persistieran pensamientos, algunos comportamientos con relación a riesgo de muerte, 12 realizaran automutilación, 5 planearan suicidio, uno intentó suicidio; uno recibió tratamiento anterior. Factores predisponentes: relaciones amorosas y familiares, trastornos mentales; factores desencadenantes: baja auto-estima, dificultades económicas, situaciones estresantes, tristeza, impulsividad. Conclusión: la mayoría de los participantes presentaran comportamiento suicida, presencia y repetición de pensamientos suicidas y comportamiento de riesgo, ninguno recibía ayuda profesional en el momento, añadiendo riesgo para suicidio.Objetivo: analisar a presença e fatores desencadeantes de comportamento suicida em universitários. Métodos: pesquisa exploratório-descritiva, qualitativa; aplicação de questionário digital com informações sociodemográficas, saúde mental, comportamento suicida; referencial da análise de conteúdo.  Participaram 34 universitários. Resultados: maioria idade inferior 21 anos, solteira, feminina, branca, sem filho, matriculada até 3º semestre, renda individual até R$1.000,00, familiar até R$2.000,00, sem atividade remunerada, com dificuldades econômicas; história familiar de transtorno mental e comportamento suicida; 22 participantes tiveram comportamento suicida, dos quais a maioria com predomínio de ideação suicida, 12 persistiram pensamentos suicidas; alguns com comportamento risco para morte, 12 realizaram automutilação, cinco planejaram suicídio, um tentou suicídio; um fez tratamento anterior. Fatores predisponentes: relacionamentos afetivos e familiares, transtornos mentais; fatores desencadeantes: baixa autoestima, dificuldades econômicas, situações estressantes, tristeza, impulsividade.
