Resumo: | Objective: to analyze the contribution of the electronic medical record to nursing care in the face of the quality audit. Methodology: integrative literature review carried out in May and June 2022, in the SciELO, Scopus, PudMed, Science Direct, BDENF and BVS databases. Results: the initial search resulted in 500 scientific articles, which titles and abstracts were read, and only 86 were selected for full reading. Of these, 17 articles were selected for answering the research question and three were excluded due to duplicity, resulting in a final sample of 14 articles. Several benefits were observed in the use of electronic medical records for nursing care within the quality audit, highlighting the increase in confidence in sharing the results and recommending solutions, the improvement in the standardization of information and the possibility of performing a quick review. in audits. It was also possible to verify that the use of electronic medical records was associated with a reduction in the risk of medication errors, support for clinical decisions and optimization of work flows and institutional organization. Final considerations: Computerization of health records has a significant impact on improving the safety, efficiency and quality of care, while protecting the privacy and personal rights of the patient. Resultados: la búsqueda inicial resultó en 500 artículos científicos, cuyos títulos y resúmenes fueron leídos, y solo 86 fueron seleccionados para lectura completa. De estos, 17 artículos fueron seleccionados por responder a la pregunta de investigación y tres fueron excluidos por duplicidad, resultando una muestra final de 14 artículos. Se observaron varios beneficios en el uso de la historia clínica electrónica para la atención de enfermería dentro de la auditoría de calidad, destacándose el aumento de la confianza al compartir los resultados y recomendar soluciones, la mejora en la estandarización de la información y la posibilidad de realizar una revisión rápida en las auditorías. También fue posible verificar que el uso de la historia clínica electrónica se asoció a la reducción del riesgo de errores de medicación, apoyo a las decisiones clínicas y optimización de los flujos de trabajo y organización institucional. Consideraciones finales: La informatización de los registros de salud tiene un impacto significativo en la mejora de la seguridad, eficiencia y calidad de la atención, al tiempo que protege la privacidad y los derechos personales del paciente. El uso de la historia clínica electrónica en las auditorías de calidad representa un avance invaluable para los servicios, ya que auxilia en la estandarización de la atención, prestación de servicios y registro de información.Objetivo: analisar a contribuição do prontuário eletrônico para a assistência de enfermagem diante da auditoria da qualidade. Metodologia: revisão integrativa da literatura realizada em maio e junho de 2022, nas bases de dados SciELO, Scopus, PudMed, Science Direct, BDENF e BVS. Resultados: a busca inicial resultou em 500 artigos científicos, os quais foram lidos títulos e resumos, sendo que apenas 86 foram selecionados para a leitura na íntegra. Destes, 17 artigos foram selecionados por responderem à pergunta de pesquisa e três foram excluídos por duplicidade, resultando em uma amostra final de 14 artigos. Observou-se diversos benefícios no uso do prontuário eletrônico para a assistência de enfermagem dentro da auditoria da qualidade, destacando-se o aumento da confiança em compartilhar os resultados e recomendar soluções, a melhora na padronização de informações e a possibilidade de realizar uma rápida revisão em auditorias. Também foi possível verificar que o uso do prontuário eletrônico esteve associado à redução do risco de erros de medicação, ao apoio à decisão clínica e à otimização dos fluxos de trabalho e organização institucional. Considerações finais: a informatização dos registros em saúde tem um impacto significativo na melhoria da segurança, eficiência e qualidade do atendimento, ao mesmo tempo em que protege a privacidade e os direitos pessoais do paciente.
