Resumo: Objective: To describe the actions of education and health care carried out for women in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability in Palmas - TO. Methods: This is an experience report of educational actions, health promotion and preventive strategies that addressed the themes of abuse of alcohol and other drugs, sexual and reproductive health, hygiene and also intersectoral actions to solve complex problems for women residing in the Saroba Community. Results: The education actions were based, basically, on four subjects, being addressed in an intersectoral and integral way in the 15 meetings held: the abusive use of alcohol and other drugs, sexual and reproductive health, hygiene of the place, and the opportunity to welcome. The biggest problem found was in relation to the pattern of behavior regarding the more intense consumption of alcohol and other drugs by women, which leads to greater exposure to risks, such as unemployment and, consequently, involvement with illegal activities and prostitution, in addition to the strong relationship with violence and living conditions on the street. Conclusion: Despite the difficulties faced by the group to carry out educational actions, the creation of a bond with the Care Network and the reduction of risky behaviors, it was possible to show that it is possible to integrate local women with health professionals, since that there is total openness and confidence to discuss the themes and effective participation of those involved in the choices.

Research, Society and Development2020-10-21info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/911610.33448/rsd-v9i10.9116Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 10; e8159109116Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 10; e8159109116Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 10; e81591091162525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/9116/8242Copyright (c) 2020 Carolina Freitas do Carmo Rodrigues; Maitê da Veiga Feitoza Borges Silva; Ludimila Freitas de Sá Souto; Even Amanda Alves da Silva; Raiane Silva Mocelai; Allana Lima Moreira Rodrigues; Sanza Caroline Dias Coelho; Ruhena Kelber Abrão https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessRodrigues, Carolina Freitas do Carmo Silva, Maitê da Veiga Feitoza Borges Souto, Ludimila Freitas de Sá Silva, Even Amanda Alves da Mocelai, Raiane Silva Rodrigues, Allana Lima Moreira Coelho, Sanza Caroline Dias Abrão , Ruhena Kelber 2020-10-31T12:03:23Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/9116Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:31:26.765196Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
