Resumo: Objective: To analyze variations of biomarkers with different body mass index (BMI) and body fat percentage (% BF). Methods: Cross-sectional study, comprising 173 patients with CKD. Twenty blood biomarkers were evaluated. BMI was categorized as eutrophic and overweight. % BF was assessed by air displacement plethysmography and rated high when ≥25% for men and ≥32% for women. Four groups were categorized: eutrophic (adequate BMI and % BF), normal-weight obese (adequate BMI and high % BF), overweight and adequate % BG (high BMI and normal % BF) and real obese (BMI and% BF high). Results: Compared to eutrophic individuals, the “normal-weight obese” registered lower hemoglobin (12.5 mg / dl) and hematocrit (37.0%), higher values for phosphorus (3.6 mg / dl), CRP (0.2 mg / dL) and fasting blood glucose (105.5 mg / dL). The “real obese” had lower creatinine (1.6 mg / dL) and higher triglycerides (159 mg / dL), CRP (0.3 mg / dL) and fasting glucose (101 mg/dL). The group “overweight and adequate% BF” showed higher triglycerides (217 mg / dL) blood glucose (108mg / dL) and lower HDL-c (33.9 mg / dL). Conclusions: The “obese of normal weight” showed more variations on the biomarkers. The “overweight and adequate% BF” and “real obese” groups had higher serum values for some parameters. The need to assess combined parameters is emphasized, as both BMI and% BF can influence biochemical markers.

Métodos: Estudio transversal, compuesto por 173 pacientes con ERC. Se evaluaron veinte biomarcadores sanguíneos. El IMC se clasificó como eutrófico y con sobrepeso. El % de GC se evaluó mediante pletismografía de desplazamiento de aire y se calificó como alto cuando era ≥25 % para los hombres y ≥32 % para las mujeres. Se categorizaron cuatro grupos: eutróficos (IMC y % GC adecuados), obesos normopeso (IMC adecuado y % GC altos), sobrepeso y % GS adecuados (IMC alto y % GC normales) y obesos reales (IMC y % GC altos). Resultados: En comparación con los individuos eutróficos, los “obesos normopeso” registraron valores más bajos de hemoglobina (12,5 mg/dl) y hematocrito (37,0%), valores más altos de fósforo (3,6 mg/dl), PCR (0,2 mg/dl) y en ayunas glucosa en sangre (105,5 mg/dL). Los “obesos reales” tenían creatinina más baja (1,6 mg/dL) y triglicéridos más altos (159 mg/dL), PCR (0,3 mg/dL) y glucosa en ayunas (101 mg/dL). El grupo “sobrepeso y %GC adecuado” presentó triglicéridos (217 mg/dL) glucosa en sangre (108 mg/dL) y HDL-c más bajo (33,9 mg/dL). Conclusión: Los “obesos de normopeso” presentaron más variaciones en los biomarcadores. Los grupos de “sobrepeso y %GC adecuado” y “obesos reales” tenían valores séricos más altos para algunos parámetros. Se enfatiza la necesidad de evaluar los parámetros combinados, ya que tanto el IMC como el %GC pueden influir en los marcadores bioquímicos.Objetivo: Analisar variações de biomarcadores com diferentes índices de massa corporal (IMC) e percentual de gordura corporal (%GC). Métodos: Estudo transversal, composto por 173 portadores de DRC.  Avaliou-se vinte biomarcadores sanguíneos. Categorizou-se IMC como eutrófico e excesso de peso. O %GC foi avaliado pela pletismografia por deslocamento de ar e classificado elevado quando ≥25% para homens e ≥32% para mulheres. Foram categorizados quatro grupos: eutrófico (IMC e %GC adequados), obesos de peso normal (IMC adequado e %GC elevado), excesso de peso e %GC adequado (IMC elevado e %GC adequado) e obesos reais (IMC e %GC elevados). Resultados: Comparado aos eutróficos, os “obesos de peso normal” registraram menores valores de hemoglobina (12,5 mg/dl) e hematócrito (37,0%), maiores para fósforo (3,6 mg/dl), PCR (0,2 mg/dL) e glicemia de jejum (105,5 mg/dL), os “obesos reais” possuíram menor valor de creatinina (1,6 mg/dL) e maiores de triglicerídeos (159,0 mg/dL), PCR (0,3 mg/dL) e glicemia de jejum (101,0 mg/dL) e o grupo “excesso de peso e %GC adequado” evidenciaram maiores valores de triglicerídeos (217,0 mg/dL) glicemia (108,0 mg/dL) e menor valor de HDL-c (33,9 mg/dL). Conclusão:  Os “obesos de peso normal” apresentaram mais variações nos biomarcadores. Os grupos “excesso de peso e %GC adequado” e “obesos reais” possuíram maiores valores séricos para alguns parâmetros.
