Deleterious oral habits and implications for the development of children aged 0-6 years: scope review protocol

Resumo: Objective: To map existing knowledge about deleterious habits such as pacifiers and bottle feeding and the implications on the development of children aged 0-6 years. Review Method: Scoping review protocol according to the Joanna Briggs Institute method. Published and unpublished bibliographic materials will be considered, according to the following inclusion criteria: to report the types of harmful habits (concept) occurring in the population of children aged 0-6 years (population) and their impact on child development (context). A detailed individual search strategy will be used for each database: Virtual Health Library (VHL), PubMed and Scopus. Two reviewers will screen the titles and abstracts, read the full texts, and extract data from the included material. Presentation and Interpretation of Results: The results included in this scoping review will be classified into conceptual categories of analysis from Thematic Categorical Analysis, grounded in Bardin's content analysis.

Se utilizará una estrategia de búsqueda detallada e individual para cada base de datos: Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS), PubMed y Scopus. Dos revisores revisarán los títulos y resúmenes, leerán los textos completos y extraerán datos del material incluido. Presentación e Interpretación de Resultados: Los resultados incluidos en esta revisión de alcance serán clasificados en categorías de análisis conceptual con base en el Análisis Categórico Temático, basado en el análisis de contenido de Bardin.Objetivo: Mapear conhecimento existente sobre hábitos deletérios, como chupeta e mamadeira e as implicações no desenvolvimento de crianças de 0-6 anos. Método de Revisão: Protocolo de scoping review segundo o método do Joanna Briggs Institute. Serão considerados materiais bibliográficos publicados e não publicados, conforme os seguintes critérios de inclusão: relatar os tipos de hábitos deletérios (conceito) ocorridos na população de crianças de 0 a 6 anos (população) e seu impacto no desenvolvimento infantil (contexto). Será utilizada estratégia de busca detalhada e individual para cada base de dados: Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), PubMed e Scopus. Dois revisores triarão os títulos e resumos, lerão os textos completos e extrairão os dados do material incluído.
