Prevention of pressure injury in a surgical center for traumato-orthopedic patients in west of Pará: experience report

| Resumo: | Objective: To describe the activities developed by the resident nurse in the care practices of the traumat-orthopedic patient in the surgical center aiming at the prevention of Pressure Injury (PPL). Methodology: This is a descriptive, qualitative study of the experience report type, whose place of experience was in a reference hospital in the west of Pará by a resident nurse in orthopedics and traumatology. Results: In the operating room, the nurse plays an extremely important role in ensuring patient safety, being responsible for preventing diseases that may interfere with the patient's clinical condition. Among these competences is to guarantee the physical integrity of the skin, in the appearance of PPL, especially in the surgical positioning. Final Considerations: From the experience in the surgical center, it was possible to perceive the need for professional training and knowledge of the surgical procedure. |

Metodología: Se trata de un estudio cualitativo, descriptivo, del tipo relato de experiencia, cuyo lugar de experiencia fue en un hospital de referencia en el oeste de Pará por una enfermera residente en ortopedia y traumatología. Resultados: En el quirófano, el enfermero juega un papel sumamente importante para velar por la seguridad del paciente, siendo el responsable de prevenir enfermedades que puedan interferir en el estado clínico del paciente. Entre estas competencias está garantizar la integridad física de la piel, en la aparición de LPP, especialmente en el posicionamiento quirúrgico. Consideraciones Finales: A partir de la experiencia en el centro quirúrgico, fue posible percibir la necesidad de formación profesional y conocimiento del procedimiento quirúrgico.Objetivo: Descrever as atividades desenvolvidas pelo enfermeiro residente nas práticas assistências do paciente traumato-ortopédico no centro cirúrgico visando a prevenção de Lesão Por Pressão (LPP). Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, qualitativo do tipo relato de experiência, cujo local de vivência deu-se em um hospital de referência no Oeste do Pará por uma enfermeira residente em ortopedia e traumatologia. Resultados: No centro cirúrgico o enfermeiro tem um papel de suma importância para garantir a segurança do paciente, sendo responsável pela prevenção de agravos que podem interferir no quadro clínico do paciente. Dentre estas competências está a de garantir a integridade física da pele, no surgimento de LPP, em especial, no posicionamento cirúrgico.
