Water stress in plants: a review

Resumo: Water stress is a problem that limits the production and development of various plants, especially in dry periods where the river index is lower. This review compiles information that allows us to understand how stress due to lack of water occurs, a resource of extreme importance for plant development, with water being an extremely determining component for the survival of plants, being responsible for gas exchange, photosynthesis, transport of nutrients and others. Thus, given the data obtained in the research platforms Google academic, Scielo, Embrapa and others, we discuss the responses of fruit, forage and legume plants subjected to water stress, highlighting the effects caused in general and mentioning some of the peculiarities that stress causes in these plants, in addition to the means of adaptation that these plants acquire to survive during periods of drought and how water is important at various stages of plant development.

Esta revisión recopila información que nos permite comprender cómo se produce el estrés debido a la falta de agua, un recurso de extrema importancia para el desarrollo de las plantas, y el agua es un componente extremadamente determinante para la supervivencia de las plantas, siendo responsable del intercambio de gases, fotosíntesis, transporte de nutrientes y otros. Así, dados los datos obtenidos de las plataformas de investigación académica de Google, Scielo, Embrapa y otras, discutimos las respuestas de las plantas frutales, forrajeras y leguminosas sometidas a estrés hídrico, destacando los efectos provocados en general y mencionando algunas de las peculiaridades que provoca el estrés. sobre estas plantas, además de los medios de adaptación que estas plantas adquieren para sobrevivir durante los períodos de sequía y cómo el agua es importante en las distintas etapas del desarrollo de las plantas.O estresse hídrico é uma problemática que limita a produção e desenvolvimento de vários vegetais, principalmente em períodos secos o qual o índice fluvial e menor. Esta revisão compila informações que nos permite compreender como ocorre o estresse por falta de água, um recurso de extrema importância para o desenvolvimento das plantas, sendo a água um componente extremamente determinante para a sobrevivência dos vegetais, sendo responsável por trocas gasosas, fotossíntese, transporte de nutrientes e outros.
