Social stigma, family functioning pattern and the importance of treating mental disorders for users of psychoactive substances

Resumo: | Objective: To discourse the stigma faced by users, as well as family difficulties and the importance of therapeutic follow-up for their recovery. Methodology: Unveils an integrative review of the literature developed with articles published and indexed in the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Results and Discussion: Of the 34 articles resulting, after applying the inclusion, exclusion criteria and analysis of their contents, 10 were selected for this study. Three thematic groups were identified, namely: Facing the stigma experienced by users of psychoactive substances, Unfamiliar family pattern resulting from addiction and Harm reduction strategies for this audience. Conclusion: alcohol and drug users experience several stigmas that make them excluded from society, with the inclusion of these users in health services, in a humanized way, with the purpose of obtaining effective results in their treatment and the family bond and of great importance and social, thus reducing the high rates because it concerns a setback with regard to public health. |

Metodología: Desvela de una revisión de literatura integradora desarrollada con artículos publicados e indexados en la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS). Resultados y discusión: De los 34 artículos resultantes, después de aplicar los criterios de inclusión, exclusión y análisis de sus contenidos, 10 fueron seleccionados para este estudio. Se identificaron tres grupos temáticos, a saber: enfrentar el estigma experimentado por los usuarios de sustancias psicoactivas, patrones familiares desconocidos como resultado de la adicción y estrategias de reducción de daños para esta audiencia. Conclusión: los usuarios de alcohol y drogas experimentan varios estigmas que los hacen sean excluidos de la sociedad, con la inclusión de estos usuarios en los servicios de salud, de manera humanizada, com el propósito de obtener resultados efectivos en su tratamiento, y el vínculo familiar y de social, reduciendo así las altas tasas porque se trata de un revés com respecto a la salud pública.Objetivo: Discorrer sobre o estigma enfrentado pelos usuários, assim como, as dificuldades familiares e a importância do seguimento terapêutico para recuperação dos mesmos. Metodologia: Desvela-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura desenvolvida com artigos publicados e indexados na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). Resultados e Discussão: Dos 34 artigos resultantes, após aplicação dos critérios de inclusão, exclusão e análise dos seus conteúdos, 10 foram selecionados para este estudo. Foram identificados três núcleos temáticos, sendo eles: Enfrentamento do estigma vivenciado por usuários de substâncias psicoativas, Padrão familiar desconfigurado decorrente do vício e Estratégias de redução de danos a esse público. Conclusão: os usuários de álcool e drogas vivem diversos estigmas que os fazem serem excluídos da sociedade, sendo de grande relevância a inserção desses usuários nos serviços de saúde, de forma humanizada, com a finalidade de obter resultado eficaz em seu tratamento, e ao vínculo familiar e social, reduzindo assim os altos índices por concernir-se de um contratempo que diz respeito à saúde pública.
