Nursing care in the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer: an integrative review

Resumo: | Objective: to describe nursing care in the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer. Methodology: this is an integrative literature review, carried out in May 2021, according to the following research question: "what nursing care has been used in the prevention and care of women with cervical cancer?". The following descriptors were used: Cervical Neoplasms, Cervical Cancer, Nursing Care and Health Care, in the MEDLINE, BDENF and LILACS databases. 10 articles were selected. Results: the selected articles point to the nursing consultation as an important tool to carry out health education aimed at prevention, with a focus on active search and encouragement for the Pap smear test, in addition to biopsychosocial-spiritual support, request and evaluation of tests, support for client and family during diagnosis, treatments and prognosis as the main interventions to be performed by nursing. Conclusion: the nurse is an important agent active in the prevention and detection of various types of diseases and conditions in the population. In care directed to women with cervical cancer, nurses play an important role in tracking, detecting, guiding, implementing care. It is hoped that the results of this study will help nursing professionals to critically reflect on their own care practice. |

Metodología: se trata de una revisión integradora de la literatura, realizada en mayo de 2021, según la siguiente pregunta de investigación: "¿Qué cuidados de enfermería se han utilizado en la prevención y atención de mujeres con cáncer de cuello uterino?". De los descriptores: Neoplasias de cuello uterino, Cáncer de cuello uterino, Atención de enfermería, Atención de enfermería y Atención de salud, en las bases de datos MEDLINE, BDENF y LILACS. Se seleccionaron 10 artículos. Resultados: los artículos seleccionados apuntan a la consulta de enfermería como una herramienta importante para llevar a cabo la educación en salud orientada a la prevención, con un enfoque en la búsqueda activa y el estímulo para la prueba de Papanicolaou, además del apoyo biopsicosocial-espiritual, solicitud y evaluación de pruebas. apoyo al cliente y su familia durante el diagnóstico, los tratamientos y el pronóstico como principales intervenciones a realizar por la enfermería. Conclusión: la enfermera es un agente importante activo en la prevención y detección de diversos tipos de enfermedades y afecciones en la población. En la atención dirigida a mujeres con cáncer de cuello uterino, las enfermeras desempeñan un papel importante en la detección, detección, orientación e implementación de la atención. Se espera que los resultados de este estudio ayuden a los profesionales de enfermería a reflexionar críticamente sobre su propia práctica asistencial.Objetivo: descrever a assistência de enfermagem na prevenção e no tratamento do câncer de colo de útero. Metodologia: trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada em maio de 2021, de acordo com a seguinte questão de pesquisa: “quais os cuidados de enfermagem têm sido empregados na prevenção e na assistência à mulheres com câncer de colo do útero?”. A partir dos descritores: Neoplasias do Colo do Útero, Câncer de Colo do Útero, Cuidados de Enfermagem, Assistência de Enfermagem e Assistência à Saúde, nas bases de dados MEDLINE, BDENF e LILACS. Foram selecionados 10 artigos. Resultados: os artigos selecionados apontam a consulta de enfermagem como importante ferramenta para realização de educação em saúde voltada a prevenção, com enfoque na busca ativa e incentivo para a realização do exame Papanicolaou, além do apoio biopsicossocioespiritual, solicitação e avaliação de exames, apoio a cliente e familiares durante o diagnóstico, tratamentos e prognóstico como principais intervenções a serem realizadas pela enfermagem. Conclusão: o enfermeiro é um importante agente atuante na prevenção e detecção dos vários tipos de doenças e condições da população. No cuidado direcionado à mulher com câncer de colo do útero, o enfermeiro desempenha um importante papel no rastreamento, na detecção, na orientação, na implementação de cuidados.
