Summary: Geotechnologies are increasingly accessible and this is due to the fact that free and free software is being progressively produced and disseminated, as well as the adequacy of the language of these software that is being demanded, in order to allow access to an increasingly broad audience. The objective is to diagnose the use of geotechnologies as an instrument of teaching Geography. The referred study was carried out in loco with 6th grade students at the public school of state Prof. Virgílio Libonati located in the metropolitan region of Belém do Pará, whose pair of coordinates for access is 01°27’9.73” South latitude and 48°26’38.22” West longitude. The methodology included the application of questionnaires after a lecture with the purpose of better understanding about cartography, the environment and computational utilities. The audience was 20 (Twenty) students in the age group of 11 years belonging to the afternoon shift. This approach highlighted the importance of geotechnogies in everyday school life, seeking to make geographic concepts more dynamic and effective during the teaching-learning process.

El objetivo es diagnosticar el uso de las geotecnologías, como herramienta didáctica de la Geografía. El referido estudio se realizó in loco con estudientes de 6º grado de la escuela pública del Prof. Estadual Virgílio Libonati ubicada en la región metropolitana de Belém do Pará, cuyo par de coordenadas de acceso es 01º 27’9.73” latitud sur y 48º 26’38.22” de longitud oeste. La metodología incluyó la aplicación de cuestionarios después de uma conferencia com el propósito de comprender mejor la cartografia, el medio ambiente y las utilidades computacionales. La audiencia fue de 20 (veinte) estudiantes en el grupo de edad de 11 años pertenecientes al turno de tarde. Este enfoque resaltó la importancia de las geotecnologías en la vida escolar cotidiana, buscando dinamizar y hacer más efectivos los conceptos geográficos durante el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje.As geotecnologias estão cada vez mais acessíveis e isto se deve aos softwares livres e gratuitos estarem sendo progressivamente produzidos e difundidos, bem como também a adequação da linguagem destes softwares que vem sendo demandada, de forma a possibilitar o acesso a um público cada vez mais amplo. O objetivo é diagnosticar a utilização das geotecnologias, como instrumento de ensino da Geografia. O referido estudo foi realizado em loco com alunos de 6º ano na escola pública de âmbito Estadual Prof.º Virgílio Libonati localizada na região metropolitana de Belém do Pará, cujo o par de coordenadas para acesso é 01°27'9.73" latitude Sul e 48°26'38.22" longitude Oeste. A metodologia incluiu a aplicação de questionários após uma palestra com a finalidade de melhor entendimento sobre a cartografia, o meio ambiente e utilidades computacionais. O público algo foram 20 (Vinte) alunos na faixa etária de 11 anos pertencente ao turno vespertino.
