Competence management in the inspection of mechanical components of an iron ore beneficiation plant

Resumo: | The Human Resource area is considered one of the most important in organizations, whether public or private. Within this area there are several tools used to promote and recognize human capital. One of these techniques is Competency Management which consists of understanding what are the organizational competencies critical to business success, deploying them in terms of professional competences and developing them with the internal staff. Considering this context, this article aims to elaborate the competence matrix for the Maintenance Planning and Control department of an ore processing plant. To achieve this objective, a survey was carried out regarding the skills of the professionals responsible for technical inspections in relation to the technical demands offered by the equipment used. To this end, a questionnaire was developed, in which employees described the degree of compliance with which they are in relation to certain activities and equipment. As a result of the work, a deficit of competence was found, in general, with the need for training and knowledge management within the department studied. |

Dentro de esta área hay varias herramientas utilizadas para promover y reconocer el capital humano. Una de estas técnicas es la Gestión de Competencias, que consiste en comprender qué habilidades organizativas son críticas para el éxito empresarial, desplegarlas en términos de habilidades profesionales y desarrollarlas en el marco de los empleados internos. Considerando este contexto, este artículo tiene como objetivo elaborar la matriz de competencias para el departamento de Planificación y Control de Mantenimiento de una planta de beneficio de minerales. Para lograr este objetivo, se realizó una encuesta sobre las habilidades de los profesionales responsables de las inspecciones técnicas en relación con las demandas técnicas que ofrece el equipo utilizado. Con este fin, se desarrolló un cuestionario, en el cual los empleados describieron el grado de cumplimiento con el que están relacionados con ciertas actividades y equipos. Como resultado del trabajo, se encontró un déficit de competencia, en general, con la necesidad de capacitación y gestión del conocimiento dentro del departamento estudiado.A área de Gestão de Pessoas é considerada uma das mais importantes nas organizações, sejam elas de natureza pública ou privada. Dentro desta área existem diversas ferramentas utilizadas para promover e reconhecer o capital humano. Uma dessas técnicas é a Gestão por Competências, na qual consiste em compreender quais são as competências organizacionais críticas para o sucesso empresarial, desdobrá-las em termos de competências profissionais e desenvolvê-las junto ao quadro de funcionários internos. Considerando este contexto, o presente artigo tem como objetivo elaborar a matriz de competência para o departamento de Planejamento e Controle de Manutenção de uma usina de beneficiamento de minério. Para atingir esse objetivo, foi realizado um levantamento a respeito das competências dos profissionais responsáveis pelas inspeções técnicas em relação as demandas técnicas oferecidas pelos equipamentos utilizados. Para tal, foi desenvolvido um questionário, no qual os funcionários descreveram o grau de conformidade no qual se encontram em relação a certas atividades e equipamentos. Como resultados do trabalho, foi encontrado, em um âmbito geral, um déficit de competência, havendo necessidade de capacitações e gestão do conhecimento dentro do departamento estudado.
