Resumo: | Aging can be understood as a natural process of progressive decrease in functionality, which when associated with the abusive use of alcohol and other drugs affects dimensions of the individual's life, with morbidity and mortality. Objective: to describe the functional health profile of the elderly in a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs III, from 2011 to 2018. This is a cross-sectional, descriptive study. The research was carried out in two stages: in the first, it consisted of documentary analysis in 143 medical records and in the second, an interview was applied to collect functional health data with 10 elderly people. The results showed a sociodemographic profile in the majority of males, separated, with elementary education, unemployed, who abuse multiple drugs, and with an absence of dysfunctionality in the components of function and structure, mild impairment in activities and participation and significant facilitators in the environment. It concludes the relevance of investing in care with a focus on functionality and disability in health, making it possible to propose therapeutic strategies that respond to the real demands of the elderly and treatment effectiveness. |

Objetivo: describir el perfil funcional de salud del anciano en un Centro de Atención Psicosocial por Alcohol y Otras Drogas III, de 2011 a 2018. Se trata de un estudio descriptivo transversal. La investigación se llevó a cabo en dos etapas: en la primera, consistió en el análisis documental en 143 historias clínicas y en la segunda, se aplicó una entrevista para recolectar datos de salud funcional con 10 ancianos. Los resultados mostraron un perfil sociodemográfico en la mayoría de varones, separados, con educación básica, desempleados, que abusan de múltiples drogas, y con ausencia de disfuncionalidad en los componentes de función y estructura, deterioro leve en las actividades y participación y facilitadores significativos en el entorno. Se concluye la relevancia de invertir en cuidados con foco en la funcionalidad y la discapacidad en salud, permitiendo proponer estrategias terapéuticas que respondan a las demandas reales de las personas mayores y la efectividad del tratamiento.O envelhecimento pode ser compreendido como processo natural de diminuição progressiva da funcionalidade, que quando associado ao uso abusivo de álcool e outras drogas afeta dimensões da vida do indivíduo, com morbidade e mortalidade. Objetivo: descrever o perfil de saúde funcional de idosos de um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Álcool e Outras Drogas III, no período de 2011 a 2018. Trata-se de estudo transversal, descritivo. A pesquisa foi realizada em duas etapas: na primeira foi composta por análise documental em 143 prontuários e na segunda foi aplicado entrevista para coleta de dados de saúde funcional com 10 idosos. Os resultados apresentaram um perfil sociodemográfico na maioria do sexo masculino, separados, com ensino fundamental, desempregados, que utilizam abusivamente múltiplas drogas, e apresentando ausência de disfuncionalidade nos componentes de função e estrutura, comprometimento leve nas atividades e participação e facilitadores significativos no ambiente.
