Spiderhead film critical review: under the aegis of bioethical principles

Resumo: | Bioethical principles in academic-scientific studies were knowledge developed in the middle of the last century, this considering it something very recent, especially of paramount importance in studies involving human beings and animals in the fields of clinical and social research. Objective: to describe the critical review of the film “Spiderhead”, under the aegis of the principles of bioethics in research. Methodological Approach: A critical review study, developed during the Bioethics course, of the Graduate Program in Nursing – Master's at the Federal University of Alagoas. Results: The synopsis of Spiderhead brings a science fiction set in a conceptual penitentiary called, located on an island far from civilization, testing formulas on people who should have gone to jail, but were stuck on the island for such experiments, which led to reflection on bioethical principles: autonomy, justice, beneficence and non-maleficence. Final considerations: In this way, analyzing the movie “Spiderhead”, under the aegis of the principles of bioethics in research, it is possible to apprehend that all mandatory steps for the process of experimenting with human beings were violated. Participants were unaware of the nature of the research, the drugs they used and the risks they ran, verbally authorizing their participation and being constantly coerced into remaining. |

Objetivo: describir la reseña crítica de la película “Spiderhead”, bajo la égida de los principios de la bioética en investigación. Enfoque Metodológico: Estudio de revisión crítica, desarrollado durante el curso de Bioética, del Programa de Posgrado en Enfermería – Maestría de la Universidad Federal de Alagoas. Resultados: La sinopsis de Spiderhead trae una ciencia ficción ambientada en una penitenciaría llamada conceptual, ubicada en una isla alejada de la civilización, probando fórmulas en personas que deberían haber ido a la cárcel, pero quedaron atrapadas en la isla por tales experimentos, lo que llevó a la reflexión. sobre los principios bioéticos: autonomía, justicia, beneficencia y no maleficencia. Consideraciones finales: De esta forma, analizando la película “Spiderhead”, bajo la égida de los principios de la bioética en investigación, es posible aprehender que se violaron todos los pasos obligatorios para el proceso de experimentación con seres humanos. Los participantes desconocían la naturaleza de la investigación, los medicamentos que utilizaban y los riesgos que corrían, autorizando verbalmente su participación y siendo constantemente coaccionados para permanecer.Os princípios bioéticos nos estudos acadêmico-científicos foram conhecimentos desenvolvidos na metade do século passado, considerando-se assim algo muito recente, sobretudo de suma importância nos estudos que envolvem seres humanos e animais nos campos das pesquisas clínicas e sociais. Objetivo: descrever a resenha crítica do Filme “Spiderhead”, sob a égide dos princípios da bioética em pesquisa. Abordagem Metodológica: Estudo do tipo resenha crítica, desenvolvido durante a disciplina de Bioética, do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem – Mestrado da Universidade Federal de Alagoas. Resultados: A sinopse em discussão traz uma ficção-científica ambientada em uma penitenciária chamada Spiderhead, localizada em uma ilha distante da civilização, testando fórmulas em pessoas que deveriam ter ido para a cadeia, mas ficaram presas na ilha para tais experimentos, fomentando a reflexão acerca dos princípios bioéticos: autonomia, justiça, beneficência e da não-maleficência. Considerações finais: Desta forma, analisando o Filme “Spiderhead”, sob a égide dos princípios da bioética em pesquisa é possível apreender que todas as etapas obrigatórias para o processo de experimento com seres humanos foram violadas.
