Resumo: | Objective: To describe the benefits of exercise therapies for normal childbirth through the experience of undergraduate nursing students during the Supervised Curricular Internship (ECS) I in the pre-delivery sector, in a hospital in the interior of the Amazon. Methodology: This is an experience report, of a descriptive nature about the experience of students from the 9th period of the nursing course at the Federal University of a municipality in Amazonas in the Middle Solimões, corresponding to a workload of 210 hours. The internship took place from November 5 to December 12, 2019 in a medium complexity hospital. The types of exercises performed were: breathing exercise, walking, massage, squat with support of metal bars and Swiss ball, such practices were performed according to evidence in the current literature. Results and Discussion: It was possible to verify the decrease in pain, the relief of stress, the fear of childbirth and even the minimization of anxiety, leaving the parturient women more relaxed. In addition, the benefits were visible in reducing labor time. Final Considerations: The practice contributed to the training of students by adding new knowledge and learning, as well as a look directed at comprehensive care to women's health. |
