The use of digital media in education: from perspective to practice

Resumo: Technological evolution is a constant in all contemporary social activities. Despite this, the school methodology remains, with rare exceptions, without significant changes in relation to the use of Digital Technologies. This article is a proposal for reflection on pedagogical practice in order to understand it in the context of the initial and continuing education of educators, showing the use of TDIs as essential pedagogical tools in the current context. The investigation was developed under a qualitative ethnographic approach, using the action research process in the participant observation modality. The production of information involves the observation of practical activities with the use of technologies, interviews and document analysis, with the interpretation by the data triangulation process. The discussions highlight the standardization of the methodology for transmitting content through memorization and learning through the repetition of ready-made concepts. The results indicate expository classes and the use of the textbook and the blackboard as resources most used by teachers in the classroom. The suspension of face-to-face classes due to the Pandemic, evidenced the more accentuated use of digital resources in teaching due to the modality of remote classes. The final considerations point to the relevance of the theme in the current educational scenario and emphasize the importance of the teacher seeking training and modernizing his practice in order to use the technologies for his own growth and that of the student, promoting the appropriate use of Digital Information Technologies and Communication in the context of meaningful, dynamic and transformative learning.

A pesar de esto, la metodología de la escuela permanece, con raras excepciones, sin cambios significativos en relación con el uso de Tecnologías Digitales. Este artículo es una propuesta de reflexión sobre la práctica pedagógica con el fin de comprenderla en el contexto de la formación inicial y continua de los educadores, mostrando el uso de los TDI como herramientas pedagógicas imprescindibles en el contexto actual. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque etnográfico cualitativo, utilizando el proceso de investigación acción en la modalidad de observación participante. La producción de información implica la observación de actividades prácticas con el uso de tecnologías, entrevistas y análisis de documentos, con la interpretación por el proceso de triangulación de datos. Las discusiones destacan la estandarización de la metodología para transmitir contenidos a través de la memorización y el aprendizaje a través de la repetición de conceptos prefabricados. Los resultados indican las clases expositivas y el uso del libro de texto y el pizarrón como recursos más utilizados por los docentes en el aula. La suspensión de las clases presenciales debido a la Pandemia evidenció el uso más acentuado de los recursos digitales en la docencia debido a la modalidad de clases a distancia. Las consideraciones finales apuntan a la relevancia de la temática en el escenario educativo actual y enfatizan la importancia de que el docente busque la formación y modernización de su práctica con el fin de utilizar las tecnologías para su propio crecimiento y el del estudiante, promoviendo el uso adecuado de las Tecnologías de la Información Digital y Comunicación en el contexto del aprendizaje significativo, dinámico y transformador.A evolução tecnológica é uma constante em todas as atividades sociais contemporâneas. Apesar disso, a metodologia escolar permanece, com raras exceções, sem alterações significativas em relação ao uso das Tecnologias Digitais. Esse artigo é uma proposta de reflexão sobre a prática pedagógica com o objetivo de compreendê-la no contexto da formação inicial e continuada dos educadores, evidenciando o uso das TDIs como ferramentas pedagógicas essenciais no contexto atual. A investigação se desenvolveu sob uma abordagem qualitativa etnográfica, utilizando-se o processo da pesquisa-ação na modalidade de observação participante. A produção das informações envolve a observação de atividades práticas com o uso das tecnologias, entrevistas e análise documental, com a interpretação pelo processo de triangulação de dados.  As discussões destacam a padronização na metodologia de transmissão de conteúdos pela memorização e a aprendizagem pela repetição de conceitos prontos. Os resultados indicam aulas expositivas e o uso do livro didático e do quadro como recursos mais utilizados pelos professores em sala. A suspensão das aulas presenciais devido à Pandemia, evidenciou o uso mais acentuado dos recursos digitais no ensino em razão da modalidade de aulas remotas.
