Resumo: This paper aims to identify the problems and difficulties faced by the fairgrounds and consumers of the free market of São Domingos do Prata. To do so, we sought to understand the profile and behavior of consumers from different social classes, as well as the profile, characteristics and perceptions of marketers, in relation to the fair. A non-probabilistic, descriptive survey was carried out for accessibility, with the application of 51 semi-structured questionnaires, using the survey. Semi-structured interviews were also held with the 18 marketers. The results showed that consumers visit the fair in search of better quality natural products, more affordable prices and the appreciation of small producers. The organization and location of the fair, days of operation and public support stand out as dysfunctions and problems reported by the fair.

Con este fin, buscamos comprender el perfil y el comportamiento de los consumidores de diferentes clases sociales, así como el perfil, las características y las percepciones de los vendedores, en relación con el mercado abierto. Se realizó una investigación descriptiva, con muestreo no probabilístico, de accesibilidad, con la aplicación de 51 cuestionarios semiestructurados, utilizando la encuesta. También se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas con los 18 especialistas en marketing. Los resultados revelaron que los consumidores visitan la feria en busca de productos naturales de mejor calidad, precios más accesibles y la apreciación de los pequeños productores. La organización y la ubicación de la feria abierta, los días de apertura y el apoyo público se destacan como disfunciones y problemas informados por los vendedores.Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar os problemas e dificuldades enfrentados pelos feirantes e consumidores da feira livre de São Domingos do Prata. Para tanto, buscou-se compreender o perfil e o comportamento dos consumidores de diferentes classes sociais, bem como o perfil, as características e percepções dos feirantes, com relação à feira livre. Foi realizada uma pesquisa descritiva, com amostragem não-probabilística, por acessibilidade, com aplicação de 51 questionários semiestruturados, utilizando-se o survey. Foram também realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com os 18 feirantes. Os resultados revelaram que os consumidores visitam a feira à procura de produtos naturais de melhor qualidade, preços mais acessíveis e pela valorização dos pequenos produtores.
