The therapeutic and pharmacological potential of cannabidiol

Resumo: The article reviews the therapeutic and pharmacological effects of cannabidiol, characterizing possible adverse and toxicological effects. This is an integrative bibliographic review carried out in the databases of PubMed, Science Direct and LILACS with the descriptors “drug effects”, “canabidiol” and “treatment” in english, using the Boolean operator AND and restricted to the years 2015 to July 2020. 89 articles were initially found, from the application of the inclusion criteria, it was possible to select the 27 articles constituting the work, from which information about authors, objective, sample, type of research, dosage and result for the composition of results table were obtained. It can be concluded that cannabidiol has therapeutic effects in pathologies related to the central nervous system and the immune system, places where it has mechanisms of action and that intoxication events are not frequently reported, however it has a vast report of adverse effects, in mostly light such as drowsiness and gastric discomfort.

Se trata de una revisión bibliográfica integradora realizada en las bases de datos PubMed, Science Direct y LILACS con los descriptores en inglés “efecto de fármacos”, “canabidiol” y “tratamento”, utilizando el operador booleano AND y restringido a los años 2015 a julio de 2020. Inicialmente se encontraron 89 artículos, a partir de la aplicación de los criterios de inclusión, fue posible seleccionar los 27 artículos que conforman el trabajo, de los cuales se extrajo información sobre autores, objetivo, muestra, tipo de investigación, dosificación y resultado para la composición de la tabla. Resultados. Se puede concluir que el cannabidiol tiene efectos terapéuticos en patologías relacionadas con el sistema nervioso central y el sistema inmunológico, lugares donde tiene mecanismos de acción y que los eventos de intoxicación no se reportan con frecuencia, sin embargo tiene un vasto reporte de efectos adversos, en mayormente lleves como somnolencia y malestar gástrico.O artigo busca avaliar os efeitos terapêuticos e farmacológicos do canabidiol caracterizando possíveis efeitos adversos e toxicológicos. Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica integrativa realizada nas bases de dados do PubMed, Science Direct e LILACS com os descritores em inglês “efeito farmacológico”, “canabidiol” e “tratamento”, utilizando o operador booleano AND e restrito aos anos de 2015 a julho de 2020. Foram encontrados inicialmente 89 artigos, a partir da aplicação dos critérios de inclusão foi possível a seleção dos 27 artigos constituintes do trabalho, desses foi retirado as informações sobre autores, objetivo, amostra, tipo de pesquisa, dosagem e resultado para a composição do quadro de resultados.
