IoT technologies for elderly health care: a systematic mapping

Resumo: | Considering the challenges and benefits inherent to the Internet of Things (IoT) for the elderly in the health area, this study aimed to carry out systematic mapping of the literature, which the search was carried out in December 2021, in the Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), Web of Science, Pubmed, Embase, and Medline databases. Some of the following descriptors were used: technology, application, health, Internet of Things and elderly. Were identified 873 studies and after applying the selection criteria, 39 publications reached the quality level for inclusion and inclusion. The reviewed articles present important data on the evolution of remote technological treatments for the elderly. This study is recommended to assist in research studies to increase knowledge, use, and quality of IoT technologies in health. |

Se utilizaron algunos de los siguientes descriptores: tecnología, aplicación, salud, Internet de las Cosas y ancianos. Se identificaron 873 estudios y después de aplicar los criterios de selección, 39 publicaciones alcanzaron el nivel de calidad para inclusión e inclusión. Los artículos revisados presentan datos importantes sobre la evolución de los tratamientos tecnológicos a distancia para personas mayores. Se recomienda este estudio para ayudar en los estudios de investigación para aumentar el conocimiento, el uso y la calidad de las tecnologías de IoT en la salud.Considerando os desafios e os benefícios inerentes à Internet das Coisas (Internet of Things - IoT) para idosos na área da saúde, o estudo teve como objetivo realizar um mapeamento sistemático da literatura, na qual a busca foi realizada em dezembro de 2021, nas bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), Web of Science, Pubmed, Embase e Medline. Foram utilizados os descritores: tecnologia, aplicação, saúde, Internet das Coisas e idosos. Foram identificados 873 estudos, e depois de aplicados os critérios de seleção, 39 publicações alcançaram o nível de qualidade para inclusão e síntese. Os artigos revisados apresentam dados significativos sobre a evolução dos tratamentos tecnológicos remotos para os idosos.
